I have lived on Vancouver Island my whole life, and I must admit, mysterious unidentified creatures are no big deal for us. We put up with enough animals. I once walked on top of a human skeleton, obviously a bear attack, while trying to take a piss on a camping trip.

Its just in the last two years that grizzlys have started coming to the island, and even then, its a very small number. I doubt we have a bigfoot on the island, but even if we did, I'm sure it could hold its own

never seen anything like these but I can vouche for this on the grounds i'm not only an outdoorsman but so is alot of family; along the west coast ranging from the Rocky Mountains all the way to Alaska the woodlands there are so thick that anything and I do mean anything can live there undetected. the North American woodlands are alot like the worlds oceans; mostly unexplored. Whether or not there is a Bigfoot I cant say. can it live in these regions unnoticed? absolutely.

i hear that my friend, i have seen the woods, they are so dnesly packed that no sunlight gets through, its a completely dark world under the canopy of trees, My friend is a hunter who has followed predators into mountains, caves, etc. but he told me, he would never hunt in the woods of BC as it was so dense, dark and packed that he was terrified of facing any predator in there.

I don't believe in the Sasquatch because of documentaries, legends. I believe it exists because a friend of mine, in Russia, saw it himself while he was serving the Army. He was patrolling a region of Siberia with other soldiers when he saw the creature in the mountains - it was winter, it was snowing and all soldiers were witnesses of the scary encounter. He told me that many people have seen it and know the creature exists, lives - but as the Yeti never hurt them, they let it in peace.

I have to say the sasquatch has a better chance of existing that nessie. There is enough area in the pacific NW where a group 7ft tall primates can live and not be noticed by nature.

But the only thing working against any chance of them existing is we have never found remains. If these creatures exist sooner or later we would find a dead body.

fuzzy photos and barely discernible footprint castings are not enough.

As for Nessie, a dinosaur is jsut too large to be living in a lake that large.

@MAnnaconduit1 i live in a city so people don't own firearms becouse the chance of meeting a bear at night isn't really high. but if you live out in the country i can see why people carry guns around, especialy in the USA as it has a large bear population BUT, if i'm going on a walk and seeing a guy with a double barrel i wouldn't just say howdy and keep walking. i lost my chain of thought, anyways: guns depend on location.

what i meant was when you go into the forests of vancouver island, or the mainlands BC's forests it might be a good idea to bring one with you. have it ina case and only bring it out when you go into the woods, some people just dissapear in those woods so that's why i would carry one. I am not american so i do not have probelms with not having guns, the problem is they don't just use, them for hunting, gangs, murders etc all carried out by guns, i beleive they are for...
