I'm currently a student at Michigan, and I went to the Michigan-Indiana game at Assembly Hall in January. I have to say, I was throughly impressed with the IU crowd. It was by far the loudest I had ever heard a college basketball arena, and the students weren't even there that game!
I was at the Carrier Dome up in Syracuse for their record-breaking game of over 34,000 fans against Villanova, and the noise there didn't even compare to the level at Assembly Hall. Keep up the good work IU fans!
Being a Hawkeye fan I was slightly confused at first. But this looks like another awesome B1G tradition. Now all you guys need to do is get better at football and keep up with Iowa's traditions. Haha just giving you guys a hard time.
However I did go to Iowa Purdue in West Lafayette this year. I thought the IU sucks was slightly better than this. But all in all props to this. Very cool!
@mark82592 actually dude that's just the last tv timeout when they do that. Apparently you weren't watching when we upset Kentucky and Ohio st. That place was rocking both of those games the whole game
Obviously IU and Purdue have different definitions of greatness... here at Purdue we have people cheer for our school all the time, not just timeouts. Must be different over there in Bloomington.
@MarthaStout0202 Really? Did you really waste a few seconds typing that gem? See, Bob Knight doesn't coach there anymore, so the chances that you would see a flying chair would be very slim. As a matter of fact, Knight coached 14 more years after he threw the chair and as far as I know, that was the only time we all saw one flying. So even in that circumstance, the possiblility of a chair flying was remote as well. Thanks for the clever wit though. You just don't hear it enuf
Assembly Hall (or as Dicky V calls it Knight Hall) is one of the greatest places to watch a basketball game and this time out is defiantly a highlight of that experience! But your video shooting skills need some work, brother.
They have been doing the running of the flag to the William Tell Overture since before I started attending IU home games in 1977! It is every game at the Under 8:00 media timeout. I can assure you N. Iowa's cute little dance to piped in music does not compare to the IU BRBB & 17K+ fans, in rythem, clapping to the Overture then moving seemlessly into singing Indiana Our Indiana! When the Hall gets rocking, the National Championship Banners start to sway you know it is all about REAL TRADITION!
Hmmm... a couple guys and girls running around with flags that spell Indiana. ORRRRR the entire arena rocking out to Attack Attack! Interlude? Tough call there... I'm gonna go with Northern Iowa.
This doesnt look that exciting and 'great'

@wettsa01 Purdue cares more about beating IU than anything else, which is pretty pathetic if you ask me.

What is so great about it? I thought at the end I'd see a flying chair or something.
