I have to agree with billydoodoo73 this video was really poor mainly because of the location of the video. it would be much better if you filmed it in a similar way to your x100 video in a urban environment.because I'm pretty sure most people including me are interested in the X 10 as a little street camera. I beg you please do the review of Fuji 10 again but use it for Street photography please.!! :0

Kai I cant believe I'm teaching you something now, but the reason digital cameras are restricted to 29 minutes is because of a tax issue. Customs in Europe wanted to draw the line somewhere that would define what a camcorder is for tax purposes. They decided on 29 min recording. Seen as theres little or no tax for still cameras you find all the manufacturers restrict their video recording to 29 minutes out of the box. However software hacks to cameras such as on the GH2 have gotten around this.

If the recording of video was more than 29 minutes then the X10 would be classed as a camcorder. This is the same with all digital cameras with video.

Looks like a neat little camera. But just why would I stil yearn for an X100 instead? This one seems to do everything the X100 does, except: a) have chrome, b) cost $1200, and c) have 24mm. I love the manual zoom ring. Still, I have a Canon S90 already, and a nice Pentax dSLR, so maybe I'll save my pennies and get an X100? Also, although your girlfriend is easy on the eyes, the blokes are right. You didn't say much about the camera. One more thing: how about switching places with Locke one day?

@DigitalDevilXL okay so that depends on how much you're serious about photography.. if you just photograph stuff for fun and you want some good quality photos you could go with a good compact camera, but if you are serious and you use your camera to work or if you're trying to do some types of photography like sports photography i would recommend a DSLR cause its a more advanced choice to do everything..!! anyways its you're choice in the end !! :) my opinion

More please... a serious look at the capabilities of this camera, Kai is a good street photographer, he did two reviews of the x100, it be wonderful to see the results even

just zone focusing, low level light, autofocusing results. Really like to see prints 11x14

if the camera can achieve that, without disintegration of the image.

the X-10 has the largest of those cmaeras sensors. It has a 1/1.5, which is the same as 2/3 of an inch. probably misread it, but the X10 has the largest image sensor.. Not as stayed here as 1/2.3. its 1/1.5

this review bummed me out and i am a big fan of d-rev's (Kai's) reviews. this review was almost like they were just having fun and the camera was not really REVIEWED in any meaningful way.  What a shame since this camera is big news. i have one on order, but certainly not because of this review. it would have helped if they took it serious. I really enjoy the retro trend in camera design lately, but no digital looks as good a Leicas M7, Voigtländer R's, Zeiss Ikon ZI, 70's rangefinders (Olympus 35RC, Konica C35, Rollei XF35 +++)

I want to see a small compact retro camera with perfect design, nice typography (Panasonic cameras has ugly dugly typography) with straigt lines of design. No LCD on the back of the camera, just an integrated EVF. Leica M mount :P

I was really looking forward to a DigitalRev review of this camera and this video truly disappoints. I felt it was more about Kai trying to navigate a pedal boat than a true review of the camera. I hope this is not the only review you're doing on the X10. Please do a more comprehensive review about the use of the viewfinder and if you can confidently take a shot (in focus) without looking at the LCD. More sample photos would be nice as well. Thanks
