what i notice is that the speed of the projectile in sports seem to be getting closer and closer to the sound barrier it must be that sometime in the future there will be a sport in where the projectile breaks the sound barrier
Im Swiss and live abroad since one year. Never had anything to do with Hornussen while in Switzerland. Now in Thailand I am proud that we Swiss play such a wonderful game (no hooligans there!!!!)
be funny if some american dude walks up and hits the rubberball over the horizon, then is like "WTF thats not hard at all, wtf is wrong with you fatasses?"
xD im from switzerland, and i play hornussen.. its an fantasic sport and not only a farmer sport. i wish hornusse will be international in a fue years..xD
No. It's the general SPOKEN language (mother tongue) in so called "german-speaking Switzerland" for everyone, including government officials, top managers, nobel price winners.... But it's not standardised. It exists in regional variations of which 95% are easily understandable to eachother. At the same time, the predominant WRITTEN language is still Standard German, even though Schwyzerdütsch is gaining ground in the written form as well.
yes it is swiss german...which sounds more aggressiv than german call it schwitzertütsch!!! you have different dialect depending the region...wallis, bern, zurich..etc.
Hi Guys. I'm a Swiss and I play Hornussen since 13 years. Hornussen is very funny but it isn't a game of farmers. All people can play that. And Hornussen isn't played in small area. It's played everywhere in Switzerland. But it's right that the most teams are in the Emmental. Ask me when you need more informations.
I just came back from such a game. It's only played in one small area of Switzerland(the valley of Emmental). Even me -as a Swiss- I saw this game for the first time live. It was interesting and sure good fun!
i want to play this and i live in french speaking switzerland. anyone know any clubs? any ideas?

This video is extremely messed up.
The sound and video are off and the video itself is in slow motion or something.
Any chance of another upload? I'm still interested :)

Cool and crazy game. Im surprised they dont wear some sorta helmet tho, i have one of those 'pucks' they use and they are hard plastic.
Could do some real damage if something went wrong.
