I saw one yesterday in Eugene, OR. It freaked the hell out of me! WTF are they doing watching me? I feel like I need a lawyer.

I wish I was lying about this. I only got one still frame because it moved quickly then shot up into the atmosphere- I have never seen a real dragonfly do that. It never landed on a plant. Hovered, was too large to be a bug, was too mechanical looking, but had this nasty sharp pointed "tail" that really freaked me out. That tail could've taken out an eye or more!

Its not really a conspiracy is it, this technology has been around for ages, they've had spy drones in use for ages and they always have little flying things on newscientist. If they wernt using them Id be asking why not?

It is true that the CIA tried to develop a dragonfly spy vehicle but it's only role was to fly over a fence and land with a microphone, they certainly did not develop anything very controllable although I have seen video of one flying in a straight line. I can assure you that although there is lots of work in this area no one is anywhere near this level of sophistication yet.
