The family got out. I could tell by the way their neighbors were consoling the family that they had a good support network. Very sad indeed. Makes me remember how thankful we all should be for what we have.

We had something similar happen near our house when I lived outside of Austin. A young man and his girlfriend started a fire in the house but he hadn't cleaned the chimney. They were only home for about an hour, and everything was fine when they left, but he didn't realize the stuff clogging the chimney had caught fire, it burnt the beautiful house to the ground. Luckily they had left and weren't caught in it. His dogs were killed though.
