Reminds me of lying on my back looking up at the couds in a blue sky from a small, drifting rubber dinghy on Derwentwater, this playing on my walkman. NO's PC&L is such beautifully composed album. Thank you for uploading this.
Movement their first album post Ian Curtis sad dark and mourning, but this album starts to brighten this is probably New Order most popular works ckeck out Low Life anouther great album, Brotherhood again keeps moving to brightness.....myself love the song Confusion very out there very break beat love it.......peace
A couple years ago I started to listen to this album after all these years and a couple months later I was able to see New Order in Chicago...Talk about luck...great show. This album is on of my top ten DEFENITELY!!!!
Definitely the purest and most organic of their albums, and this song- one of their few unambiguous love songs, no lamenting or questioning. It's still refreshing after all these years. I have to agree with AxDumbaxA55, one of the best albums, produced, recorded, put together, however you want to quantify it. Very groundbreaking in it's own unassuming way.
AAHHHHH...My new favorite song! I feel like I've discovered a buried treasure, regarding New Order. Never heard any of their songs till I discovered one of their songs kind of by accident a few months ago.....why had I never heard of them before???? Well, better late than never!
What was the first song you ever hear of New Order? In which circonstance did you accidentally discovered on of their songs? What about Joy Division, do you like them too?
@margaretregan I am assuming you are fairly young or were stranded on an island or perhaps kept in tower guarded by a dragon??? Just kidding....listen to all of their stuff as well as Joy Division,(band) from which New Order is derived. enjoy
uh!.... maybe you're very young???? cause' being my age 55 (shit) :( and not having heard of n.o means being like living on mars or not having been interested in popular music...ot even... possibly not having lived in europe :)
Hello Sebastian! I'm a huge fan of New Order's!! I'm definitely glad that there are people here on YouTube uploading videos of New Order's songs! I have most of their albums/CD's. Truly great band - one of my favorites that's for sure!! Peace2U, Kim
For bcgood -- I completely agree with your comment!! I'm a big fan of New Order! This really brings back some memories. "Power, Corruption, and Lies" was the very first album that I ever bought by New Order. You're right..."Substance" is a must have for any fan of New Order's!! I even have the old VHS tape of "Substance" - the videos. Do you have that as well? Anyway, great comment!! Peace2U, Kim
I agree. I also think every song is a gem, on this album. I used to love just laying on my couch, listening to this album. It was so ethereal and relaxing.
I used to find this song annoying 'til I loved it.

Didn't fully realize how much the Drums are borrowing from New Order until I heard this song again.
clayguy33 6 months ago
@clayguy33 I definitely agree. I love listening to the Drums, but mostly because they've borrowed so much of New Order's original style.

What does this mean? It seems so specific. Is it futile to contemplate any meanings of this song or does anyone have it figured out?
