I would like to ask if you remember where was the demo movie file located on the camcorder? Was it a .MTS file? What was its name on the camcorder's HDD?
I am trying to restore it on my camcorder and I would appreciate this information.
I have a Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop. It has an Intel Core duo processor T2250 @ 1.73GHz 1.73 GHz, 1GB of RAM, 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate operating system, ATI Mobility Radeon x1400 graphics, 17" color screen. Will I have any problems editing and transferring files from the camcorder to my computer?
@jeehoondevil It depends on your budget, if your computer can handle the CX550v's AVCHD and if you're in general ready for AVCHD. With AVCHD, you have to have many hard drives to have back up footage if you want to keep them safe. With the HC9, your Mini DV tape is your final archive, but you can make more. As of now, the CX550v has better looking video, but they're pretty damn close. Both are amazing. It depends how you're going to be using the final footage.
@smashstuff30 WTF is wrong with you? Can you seriously just back off? There are hundreds of old and new Sony camcorder commercials. Can you just F off?

Is there any way to recover this movie if you've formatted the HDD? Anywhere online I can download the original file?
