  • This song was cowritten by Mick Ralphs from Mott the Hoople fame and Bad Company. He and George got together in Oxfordshire with Jim Capaldi and others and jamed on occation

  • wonderfull song, linda e maravilhosa canção, deus o tenha george

  • George Harrison's outtakes could be so brilliant. Proof with this infectious song!

  • Wow, one of Harrison's greatest songs. I cant beleive it's so unknown. brilliant melody

  • i often seem to find myself missing the good old days and living in the past. missing them and wishing that i was a kid again. sometimes i feel anxious planning the future. wondering about university or what im gonna be when i grow up. when all i can really do is live in the present. and enjoy the present.

  • i think i heard all george harrison's discography but there are so many songs, that dont belong to one of those albums like horse to the water and flying hour, i just found this song and i really liked it's really good, George You are the best!!! he's my favorite beatle, and i think he made better music after the beatles than paul mc' cartney after beatles, George Rules!!!....

  • Wow a harrison anthology can't wait for that !

  • This will be included on an upcoming George Harrison Anthology.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this

  • Why didn't they include this on the special edition of the cd that came out a few years ago? What the heck?

  • The video is excerpts from another song that's why it's not in sync.

I can't remember what the song is though.....

  • It's Blow Away.

  • Yum! Only the video doesn't seem to be fully in sync or is it a collage? Still looks great. Thanx for posting.

  • I keep hearing of this other version that is faster. Anyone have a copy of that? Is it just faster tempo (which could easily be edited by anyone) or is there something else different about it?

  • The edited, faster version is available on various bootlegs including the pirated "Somewhere In England". It was the rendition which was originally slated for inclusion on that album. It has a more sprightly feel and features some different guitars riffs, bass lines etc. It's the version which Harrison was going to release.

  • Thank you for posting this. : ) Written with Mick Ralphs of Bad Company.

  • Written by George Harrison and Mick Ralphs that is! :)

  • where can i get a mp3 of this.

  • Thanx so much 4 posting this! Always so wonderful 2 hear/see my #1 idol. "The past it is gone, the future may not be a-t'all" A sentiment he related in many interviews...

  • I meant to write "a lovely song"!!

  • This is a lovely! Thank you!

  • This is a new one for me. I've been a fan since 1963 and I love it when I discover something new. Thanks!

  • Flying hour is great track. I used to have the bootleg cd of it but it grew legs and took off. George Harrison should have release it on a flip side back with one of the songs from Somewhere In England.

  • Nice! To me, "Flying Hour" is the greatest song of all time but I must say that you should've used the sped up/intended for release version which was the actual version deleted from the "Somewhere In England" LP. It's superior in all shape and form.

  • Yeah I think I would have done that, i had a download of that too but misplaced it, then got this version. I think it's sonically clearer and it's quite nice hearing the chunky bass before the overdubs that followed.

  • It is sonically clearer. However, this version drags way too much plus that awful and unecessary fade on the ending has always been a thorn in my side. Either way, I am glad to see a "video" for "Flying Hour"! Thanks!

  • Such a catchy song. Leaving it unreleased simply made no sense.

  • The video is from "BLOW AWAY"

  • Great stuff. Some cool changes, and the bass line is pretty cool too!

  • this version is from the cd/45r.p.m. Song by George Harrison Vol.One. the version from the original LP Somewhere In

England is much slower. This version that you hear is jeff lynne influenced and most likely re-recorded. I can't decide which one I like the most.

  • Where on earth did you get this stuy2367? I'd love to get access to some of George's unreleased songs especially his version of It Don't Come Easy.

  • It was a bearshare download some time ago, the only one available. I also chanced by "Sat Singing" 1980 which I will upload soon, it's another polished Somewhere in England reject and not at all bad!

  • Many thanks stuy2376, great to hear that there is more to come.

  • I never undertand why we worry about 'which version is the best'. One of George's merits is that his work gives us different versions spread over live and studio albums and not identikit recordings.
