  • love the pod half way in the water....looks a nice swim bit muddy but i love a good overgrown swim

  • thats the trouble with most lakes now...they just cannot seem to leave swims alone

they create swims made of hardcore and railway sleepers ecut down trees ect

never liked swims like that much

much prefer to get wet and muddy

  • I use bags a lot

  • You seem to have some great fishing where you live.

I'm a Yorkshire lad and it's always a struggle getting onto a good lake in the area.

Are you using the Fox A pod?

Your blogs are better than any DVD's, keep them up!

  • im goign to my local lake for 9 days i have to walk there lol 2-3 mile but all the same i have loads of doubles and twenties now but last year i blanked on it so this year is making up for it but i am also spodding 3 kilo mix out for an overnighter session but 9 days is going to be a good spod and mix of bait out there. nice carp and hope you catch a few on your next session. tight lines p.s also im changing my name from koicarp22 to something else ill let you know what that name is later

  • Best of luck with your fishing you lucky lad:)

..and have you seen this new Audio preview???

    sounds like Stephen Hawkins!!

..its a bit oh er missus!

  • thanks and the same for you have you ever visited the linear fisheries manor farm

  • I have not fished comercial fishiers like linear. To be honest they are really not my cup of tea, I am a bit old school I guess.

I like to fish wild waters where there are no built swims ect.

  • The water I have been fishing lately has no swims just holes in the bushes but some amazing carp can be caught if you put in the effort.

You cannot use a bivvy or a wheelbarrow there and the walk to the swim is a killer.

I have not used a bite alarm in over a month now just listening for my baitrunner.

Check out my website and take a look at my Cambs Carp album.

  • spot on steve, don't you just love a big wind, big winds always put my confidence sky high...you just know it`s going to go off any minet....a mate.
