This seems to have vanished from the radar. One would think that a Catholic conservative who master-minds a re-write of the book that is central to the being & thinking of US Evangelicalism on every subject under the sun (and above and beyond it) would cause furious protests from "Bible-believing" Protestant pastors. But no. "Messing up the Bible is evil - unless we like your politics", it seems. Their silence speaks volumes :(
