@romanobritish I'm guessing he's in his mid to late 50's which means his mom is somewhere in her late 70's. If she doesn't own her own place he probably should get used to camping.
In some place's in California the police have to make them move its for their safety because allot camp out in the canal which has allot of bushes that grow there and they make their camps there but when the rainy season starts they don't want them to get flooded out it happen before and some drowned very sad. I wish I had allot of land and would let them camp there as long as they kept it clean.
We have a tough economy to recover from. If the land is public property, and in an unincorporated area, but habitable, then squatters, should be allowed to camp there, if they can prove legal status. Cities should assign an address to the location, so mail can be delivered, and the homeless wouldn't be so homeless. This would begin a process towards employment, and recovery.
Churches, instead of feeding illegal aliens, could feed US citizens. File a homestead claim.

You need to see both sides of this problem. This man was actually tresspassing on public land but the police should of gave them 24 hours to leave. Would also like to note that even I became "homeless" to a degree. I had a medical condition that stopped me from working for several months. It wasn't long term so no help from anyone. Had my mom not broke the rules of her apartment lease I would have been out on the streets in the middle of winter. Stuff happens no matter how much you prepare. Not all homeless are druggies or lazy, some indeed just had a string of rough circumstances.
My opinion is that society is setup in such a way that if you become homeless for whatever reason that you are treated like a criminal and scum. Thing is most of us are one or two steps from being homeless. As it is many can barely afford to live and if they get hurt or lose their job they will become homeless. Not everyone can rely on family. Look in your town, is there any affordable housing? Is there enough jobs for everyone? If no to both, there will be homeless and you could become one..

In some place's in California the police have to make them move its for their safety because allot camp out in the canal which has allot of bushes that grow there and they make their camps there but when the rainy season starts they don't want them to get flooded out it happen before and some drowned very sad. I wish I had allot of land and would let them camp there as long as they kept it clean.

We have a tough economy to recover from. If the land is public property, and in an unincorporated area, but habitable, then squatters, should be allowed to camp there, if they can prove legal status. Cities should assign an address to the location, so mail can be delivered, and the homeless wouldn't be so homeless. This would begin a process towards employment, and recovery.
Churches, instead of feeding illegal aliens, could feed US citizens. File a homestead claim.

Would also like to note that even I became "homeless" to a degree. I had a medical condition that stopped me from working for several months. It wasn't long term so no help from anyone. Had my mom not broke the rules of her apartment lease I would have been out on the streets in the middle of winter. Stuff happens no matter how much you prepare. Not all homeless are druggies or lazy, some indeed just had a string of rough circumstances.

My opinion is that society is setup in such a way that if you become homeless for whatever reason that you are treated like a criminal and scum. Thing is most of us are one or two steps from being homeless. As it is many can barely afford to live and if they get hurt or lose their job they will become homeless. Not everyone can rely on family. Look in your town, is there any affordable housing? Is there enough jobs for everyone? If no to both, there will be homeless and you could become one..

@FreemanOftheMind Yeah, whatever. I live in a fucking rooming house, that really aint high society. I also live in an area which has 1000-1200 homeless. Most of them are just looking to get high on one sort of drug or another, not all, but most. I can step out the doorway of the dump I live in and see bums making the area all that much worse. Some of them are mentally ill, need to be involuntarily committed, that is no longer possible for the most part.

The Interviewer says the man was trespassing, but who really owns the dirt under our feet but the Creator. The rest of us are only using our properties temporarily while we are here on the earth. The police have no moral right in the sight of Almighty God to bully these our fellow citizens off of the land where they are obviously not intrusive to anyone.

She was kinda be a bitch, but I can understand what she was saying. If the man claimed they were trespassing, then they were actually the ones that were trespassing. Also, if it is "public" property, then that actually means the city owns it. Same thing with a police car it is considered "public property" but they wont give you a ride. Same basic concept. He wanted something for nothing, and got what he deserved. Make something of yourself, instead of trying to have others give it to you.

@woohog1 i know many homeless people, and i tell you, it's not the way you think it is. and once it was the law that a policeman had to give citizens rides if they needed it. public and government owned land should be free to live on. americans pay for it, we should decide, not a whitehouse with a few rich folks in it, the people should decide. and considering how many poor hurting people are in the world, crazy people wouldn't be able to stop it.

Does that mean that in my right to life, I should be able to camp and make my home on someone elses land? No cause I am interfearing w/ thier rights. HE WAS TRESPASSING!!! HE BROKE THE LAW. Pure plain and simple. Just because he is homeless doesnt make it ok. If I have no job,and I rob a bank, to get money for food does that make it ok? No way!!!

@woohog1 .....obviously you have never been homeless....I lived out of a car a long while back and was constantly chased off for parking and sleeping....not trashing anything, not bothering anyone....there simply is NO place for a homeless person to go that someone else does not own "the land"....and so many of "our laws" are written by crooks anyway, so screw them....

@wordwarrior42 no, I have not been homeless. However I have served my time in our countrys military. I do understand that you feel sorry for the guy, but why should our government to anything to help him, when he is not (im assuming) doing anything to help himself. Thats the issue that I have. Look, I feel sorry for the guy to, I really do, but does that mean what he did was ok? In no way shape or form, does it make it right. So lets just agree to disagree, and move on from here.
