Showing rabbits in shiping cages isn't how they live. I grow rabbits for meat and they are treated well and put down in a humane way. They taste great and are loved before and after they go on the plate. Yummy by themselves and with gravy too...

Why these people doesn't spend all the effort and money to end hunger. There are so many people going hungry in the world. You don't need to go far. Even in US, a first world country, children go hungry. To these people, it seems the life of an animal is more valuable than a human life. You can say that there are organizations already to end world hunger. But it is not enough. PETA and alike should spend their money on people, not animals.
I don't mind eating meat in any form. You can like animals and still eat meat. However, I only eat meat from the local market, because meat from places like Karns and Giant are from other places of the world, so you never know how the animals were treated. This goes for all meat, in my opinion.

This video is misleading. These rabbits are ready for transport and are not being filmed the way they would be as they are being raised. If they were actually raised in this way, you would see that the pelts on these rabbits would be stained with fecal matter and urine from the rabbits above them. Look closely. The coats of these rabbits clearly show they have been adequately taken care of. Unhealthy animals, do not have pelts that looks this good.
This isn't about not eating meat, it's about the inhumane way these animals are forced to live.
I own a pet rabbit and I'm not agaisnt eating rabbits or any other common meats (in Europe rabit meat is common), I am however against the inhumane way in which these animals live and are killed. If the animals I was going to eat had a decent life and a quick painless death I would have no problem in eating them. I'd feel sorry if I thought about it though.

I don't think eating rabbit meat is stupid, it's an ancient tradition all over Europe and was a staple for Spanish people as well. Keeping them cooped up in cages in horrible conditions however is wrong. All meat should be free range, healthy and happy before they are killed.

Even in US, a first world country, children go hungry. To these people, it seems the life of an animal is more valuable than a human life. I don't mind eating meat in any form. You can like animals and still eat meat. However, I only eat meat from the local market, because meat from places like Karns and Giant are from other places of the world, so you never know how the animals were treated. This goes for all meat, in my opinion.

I have no problem with killing the rabbits (though i am a huge rabbit lover) as long as you use them for food and they are treated right up to and including their deaths this right here is awful. those poor things are born to suffer and then they die to fill our stomachs. death is probably a blessing to them because there's no other way out

I've been around rabbits since childhood... If rabbits are treated like puppies and kittens they develop high levels of learning and intelligence... If you keep a puppy or kitten in a cage outside and never allow it to "learn" or be socialilzed... then neither would they learn, or be their own individual personalities. I know several local people who raise rabbits for meat. They are actually one of the most beneficial and lease environmentally damaging of all farm animals.

I love meat but after seeing Food, Inc., I was totally disgusted and am working towards becoming a vegetarian. For people out there who say this is holier than thou, take a minute and think, if another race of beings treated US the same way we treated rabbits, cows, chickens, lambs, etc in the meat industry, we'd see them as the worst abusers of human rights, ever. The only reason this goes on is because the animals aren't able to fight back.

This video is misleading. These rabbits are ready for transport and are not being filmed the way they would be as they are being raised. If they were actually raised in this way, you would see that the pelts on these rabbits would be stained with fecal matter and urine from the rabbits above them. Look closely. The coats of these rabbits clearly show they have been adequately taken care of. Unhealthy animals, do not have pelts that looks this good.

This isn't about not eating meat, it's about the inhumane way these animals are forced to live.
I own a pet rabbit and I'm not agaisnt eating rabbits or any other common meats (in Europe rabit meat is common), I am however against the inhumane way in which these animals live and are killed. If the animals I was going to eat had a decent life and a quick painless death I would have no problem in eating them. I'd feel sorry if I thought about it though.

I don't think eating rabbit meat is stupid, it's an ancient tradition all over Europe and was a staple for Spanish people as well. Keeping them cooped up in cages in horrible conditions however is wrong. All meat should be free range, healthy and happy before they are killed.

This makes me want to cry. I own a very great pet rabbit and I would die if I knew he went through this. This IS cruelty. I vowed to NEVER eat rabbit meat.
