  • perfect video thank you for sharing

  • incredible

  • very cool

  • are you not scared ?

  • it must have felt sereal, there you are in the must primitive way of flying and right ahead of you is the most powerfull.. such a great contrast!

  • Great vid!!

  • wouldve sucked if you dropped the camera lol

  • @PurpleSausage unfortunately brains aren't

  • Fake??? You think this is fake?? lol. How long have you been stupid?

  • Awesome vid, thank you for sharing !

    Grtz.

  • Seeing all these youtube videos of the space shuttle launch from different locations(airplane, parachuter, mount everest), I'll have a better chance at seeing a space shuttle launch from my grave then winning a multimillion dollar lottery I play. Can we get one from someone scubadiving? Nice video btw.

  • Great Vid, thanks for sharing! Blue Skies

  • this will make a nice addition to the list of things to to before i die...

  • Nuclear missile headed for North Korea!!!

  • Ha, wrong direction...

  • Breathtaking.

  • v.cool

  • Wow! It's just wow... Can't even find the words. It's soo cool!

  • Just think if your parachute fails... Your fucked. I love flying even though being in a plane at 30,000ft knowing anything can happen.

  • one going up another going down..... we are never satisfield hahahaha

  • get some

  • wow! you got soo lucky to see something like that

  • didnt even know you could open your chute at 16k feet, how long did it take to land lol

  • there goin way way up, he's goin down, don't forget to land buddy!!

  • strange how it curves instead of going straight up

  • @cjellwood its because the shuttle must attain a certain azimuth angle for orbital injection. because the launch pads cant bend to conform to this angle, the shuttle must perform a roll maneuver in order to attain this angle itslef...:)

  • @virustwin ah yes I get it now thanks. I was going to ask why the shuttle does not just begin curving when at higher altitude but obviously it needs a nice bit of air around the wings to move with for that manauvre

  • how far do you have to go to see it ? what about restricted airspace on such day ?

  • wtf u doin' that far off the ground ??? ...... U CRAZIER THAN MY EX !!

  • That must be one of the toughest videos shot on youtube. Kudos

  • NOW this is a very nice super rare moment for you such clean looking skies up above then the ground level.

  • oh thats a beautiful shot

  • dude ever heard of virtualdub and its deshaker filter? thats cool and easily filters that shake out ...

  • Unique video on YouTube?! Careful, you might start a trend.

    Congratulations on a once-in-a-lifetime shot!

  • dude you are LUCKY and CRAZY !

  • @mkdniki So funny that what they are doing is so uncool compared to what they are filming.

  • go nasa!

  • sharing the skys!

  • that is sick, love it

  • So these guys could video the shuttle better from a parachute, than someone on a commercial plane.

  • i guess, fucken noobs

  • Great video!

  • That must be a first

  • What a fantastic video. Kudos to you for capturing this...I wonder if it has ever been done before.

  • Now I've seen it all! Awesome!!!

  • This is very unique! Well done. It also shows that the shuttle is not going straight up as some might think. Pretty educating stuff really. ;o)

  • awsome perspective

  • NICE!! Glad you didn't go hypoxic. :)

  • AWESOME

  • Wow I always thuoght it went straight up. This gives a different perspective... Very cool !!

  • cool!!!!

  • you're going down, they're going up, everyone's always going somewhere...

  • lol

  • nice catch

  • Nice video and an amazing view to the launch. Great timing!

  • this ... is .... TOTALLY AWESOME! :)

  • How did you manage the timing? Did you just jump at the scheduled launch time and hope they weren't delayed...?

  • dude u rule

  • For real, that was an awesome idea

  • WOW AMAZING MAN!!!

  • think of how long it would take to get down from 16,000 feet too

  • kool

  • Never thought about filming a shuttle launch from a parachute jump. Novel idea. However, and I'm just guessing, but at 16,600 feet, shouldn't you have an oxygen supply or something?

  • DAM thats a historical momment u wont forget!!

  • he shouldn't, ITS ON YOUTUBE!! Nice video Bacchante7

  • AWESOME! Thanks for sharing.

  • Now that is incredible footage!!

  • Very nice!

  • Wow, this is something you don't see everyday!

  • what an awesome idea! great vid!

  • definately on the bucket list ....i will try to be closer than you when i do it at least borderline distance allowed

  • I'm surprised you can hold a camera while falling!

  • She is flying under the open canopy.

  • What is that?

  • A parachute.

As soon as she exited her plane, she opened her parachute. The upper part that's flying is called the canopy. There are also lines, toggles, container, pilote-chute and different handles. It's just some skydiving terminology.

  • Oh. OK! THANKS!

  • That's sofa king cool. Nice vid

  • Excellent images! Great cinematography under the circumstances! Neat idea!

  • very very beautiful thanx

  • wow that was amazing..

  • That's bucket list material right there.

  • right on

  • I am surprised that they allowed such flights during a shuttle launch.

  • They're a good 50 miles away. At least. Maybe 100.

  • I've jumped from the DZ in Titusville, but never during a shuttle launch! Killer opportunity, and a great vid. Nice job. Besides, that DZ;s probably closed to all flight traffic because it's so close to the cape.

  • thats incredible.

  • Класс!!! :)

  • Wow! Perfectly planned! Well done!

  • P.S. I was probably watching T.V. also like the lazy slob I am! Again Amazing!

  • That was amazing. You are amazing!

  • and to think I probably was just watching TV on this day. Quite an inspiration. What an awesome Idea~

  • wow man. you are one lucky person....jumping from a plane and watching a space shuttle launch at THE SAME TIME!!

    CRAZY

  • thats fukin rad!!

  • holy shit that was amazing!! best shot of it ever!

  • very very cool!!

  • Wow! That is pretty damn awesome! You should have taken some sweet pictures!

  • F*cking outstanding !!!

  • Outstanding.

  • are you kidding me?? you are one lucky person!!!

  • youre fucking luky dude...thats one of the best view's to see a lunch of a space shuttel

  • Very cool!

  • How small are you!!! How small are we!!! 1.24mintues the space shuttle has to throttle down till it goes thru the sound barrier of approx 700mph and within approx 9 minutes it is in space and to maintain that orbit it must reach 24,000 mph. On accent the crew are pushed into their seats with the force of 3G's. Skydiving you hit terminal velocity of 120-130mph, 30seconds to drop 5,000ft. you can see as the shuttle matching the curviture of the earth

  • EPIC WIN!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome! what are the chances of getting on that load?

  • Thats neat!

  • nicely done

  • Wow thats a once in a life time view. Amazing.

  • Absolutely unbelievable.

  • Oh god... Everyone knows that the whole space program is FAKE! What you saw was a HOLOGRAM. The government is trying to make you into a SLAVE!
