  • Excellent Video. Good research in the scriptures. Why we 21st century Americans insist that the Bible bend to our culture, idioms, metaphors and thought process, rather than us adapting to the culture, idioms, metaphors and thought process of the writers of scripture, is somewhat of a mystery to me. The only explaination I can think of is that we tend to bearrogent in our approach to scripture.

  • People that endorse or teach the rapture theory, and other fallacious teachings are not exegeting the text. The truth in Rev. 1:1 says it all - and understanding will exponentially cause you to reconsider your eschatology. 1 "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must SHORTLY TAKE PLACE. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John"

  • @Boanerges7 All I can say is "Amen" to your comment.

  • @VeryImagesozo Ditto!

  • "The mark of the beast" aspect of Revelation is apocalyptic writing, and is symbolic in 1st century Hebrew culture as the works of your hands, and the thoughts of your conscience. The bible teaches that out of the heart flows the issues of life, and the works of a man's hands, whether he builds, or destroys, determine his actions as reflective of the inner man. The spirit of antichrist is anyone, or anything that rejects Yashua as Lord, and Saviour of all mankind, through His sacrafice.

  • Definitely an interesting video however it doesn't address the ability to buy or sell.

  • @pgfracing The prophecy of the "Mark of the Beast" was fulfilled in 64 AD when Nero Caesar did not allow Christians to buy and sell unless they acknowledged him as a God.

Your right, the mark of the beast prophecy makes no sense if it is supposed to happen sometime in the future. However, none of dispensationalism makes sense.

  • Great video. this does make a lot of sense.

  • Rev 13:17 And that no man might or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

    e-Sword

Mark = χάραγμα = scratch or etching, that is, stamp (as a badge of servitude)

    charagma

    khar'-ag-mah

From the same as G5482; a scratch or etching, that is, stamp (as a badge of servitude), or sculptured figure (statue): - graven, mark.

  • @2worldsatwar Okay... First, the "mark" of the beast is clearly a reference to the mark Israel received in the Old Testament (Exodus 13:9). That wasn't a literal mark, why would the mark of the beast be a literal mark?

    Second, that's just bad hermeneutics.

  • Well if your right what are you going to think if they start micro-chipping people? is that in the Scriptures, where does that fit in. Yeah I wouldn't get RFID chipped if I was you.

  • @2worldsatwar Why wouldn't I get a microchip? I think that would be very convenient.

Do you really think people could UNWITTINGLY receive the mark of the beast? These "End Times" theorist have not only destroyed reasonable eschatology, they have irreparably embarrassed the Christian community.

  • @newapologia I have no doubt you will be microchipped.

  • @2worldsatwar Would you like to elaborate on that comment a little?

  • This is not the 1st time that I have heard this message that mark is not a microchip but it is how you worship but what have me confused is Revelation 13:16 when the author said "He forced everyone small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive the mark on his right hand or his forehead. The key word is forced 2 receive. Then N Daniel 7 Daniel say he will attempt to change laws and time. That is happening and taken literally cause they already attempted 2 change the sabbath 2 sunday

  • @skatahman Antichrist (Caliphate) religion is more likely to be Islam than Sunday Church. Antichrist won't want you to worship Jesus Christ anyday of the week, if you think he will you don't know the Bible.

  • @2worldsatwar huh? what part of the word did you get that from ,it will not be Islam alone that masses will worship. I think it will be a collection of false gods and churches that the sea of people would worship something like the free masons.

  • Shepard's Chapel has the best explanation of this and provides free audio CD.

  • Good food for thought. Thanks for posting God Bless....Bill

  • Disguise meaning the chip or maybe the chip has been there n just don't know it.

  • I in my opinion the mark of the beast is in those that have the pineal gland clogged in order for many not to think out side the box. I think it just a disguise how many people are acting with anger killing people war racism hatred n the list goes etc...

  • I used to be a dispensationalist maybe a year or two ago, but this type of explanation makes a lot more sense to me. Thanks for posting this video!

  • @booksandvideos I too used to be a dispensationalist when I first became a Christian. But, then I started reading the Bible carefully.

  • In the United States mainly they believe the mark of the beast is Sunday worship.

  • good point.

  • then why would the mark be needed in order to buy or sell that makes it literal.

  • @TheWord2You

In the first century Christians were not allowed to buy and sell unless they acknowledged Nero was a God

  • @newapologia but we re not in the first century, are we?

    i think it s more complicated than that, one of the 3 markings being in the right hand, control(action), and forehead, perception(whole mind)... it has to be identifiable. true, it does all connect with worship, though even now we cant easily buy or sell;

    it could get literal

  • @newapologia

There is a difference between "acknowledging" something i.e. "Nero is God" then the usage here in Revelation 13:6 "GIVEN a mark ON the right hand or on the forehead".

The key word in this phrase is the word "didomi" (in greek) meaning "to give".

This passage should be taken literally.

The exegetical examples of the passage "tie them as symbols on hands and foreheads" shouldn't be used to illustrate the symbolism (or lack of ) of the "mark of the beast passage".

  • @gospeltracks I agree and why would it not makes sense when we are born again we certainly receive a spiritual mark as Scripture says BUT the anti-christ is of this world it makes perfect since for it to be that way since satan counterfeits everything but in a worldly sence so his mark would be earthly, tangible, and very real. His greatest plan is deceiving mankind working with technology to do this.

  • @newapologia Wow i didn't know that. Well sir God bless, this totally makes sense. I suppose those who don't acknowledge the anti Christ as God will not be able to buy or sell either. He will force the world to worship him, or die.

  • Excellent!

  • FINALLY

ive been saying this for YEARS lol

God Bless, you people at 'newapologia'.

  • O! The hypocrisy of the Dispensationalists!
