One day will they tour with no Original member's or will they then extend the olive branch and ask the people left out now. To join them on the road? Well I think is a honest question. Anyone have any idea's? Will they shut it down or try to get a few more nickel's? Just how long do you ride the horse

I had just moved to the SF the year this concert was held, an old friend of mine, sound man for Lynyrd Skynard switched seats with Ronnie before the plane went down, survived. sad loss, I grew up in Alabama, and can relate to the whole message behind the song. The rebel flag has such bad imagery to me, with childhood memories of the klan, beatings, lynchings, the white supremest mentality has divided this country for generations. But otherwise, LS is a kick ass band, and I love the song.

We need more positive symbols in the world, and I swear this symbol was destined to represent being decent to all mankind. This Northern Boy loves the Southern guitar sound. I've been playing since the 60's. I was first introduced to them over a bowl of hash in Spain, by another Northern Yankee, Dave from Connecticut in 1973. Saw them in Boston in 1977 with the STARS AND BARS as the backdrop.

You have to understand the Confederate flag has only recently become a symbol of hate, and even now its only seen as a symbol of hate by some.
The south doesent think of the flag as a hate symbol, to us its a symbol of herritage.
The flag is simply a banner of the south. Which is where Skynyrd is from.
I still fly a Rebel flag and I dont have an ounce of hate in my heart :)

It's a racist symbol not only for their use but for the lost cause that it originally represents. The Confederacy was only four years out of a much longer history--and a rather inglorious chapter. I'd rather celebrate that which is truly glorious and inclusive of all.

I had just moved to the SF the year this concert was held, an old friend of mine, sound man for Lynyrd Skynard switched seats with Ronnie before the plane went down, survived. sad loss, I grew up in Alabama, and can relate to the whole message behind the song. The rebel flag has such bad imagery to me, with childhood memories of the klan, beatings, lynchings, the white supremest mentality has divided this country for generations. But otherwise, LS is a kick ass band, and I love the song.

We need more positive symbols in the world, and I swear this symbol was destined to represent being decent to all mankind. We don't get so bent out of shape about black panther symbols, and most southern blacks I know don't get nearly as upset about the Confederate flag as white people trying to pander to the idea of being a part of the "sensitive and politically correct" crowd instead of being proud of their own heritedge.
