If they didnt care about roughin him up they could killed him in his state. They didnt even release while fighting him. They were hoping they would not have to fight a guy they liked.

There's no way he's low level captain at all. He nearly killed Harribel well defending people below him from her attacks, and that would sure take effort.

He's not stronger than the big 4. He's not stronger than Aizen, Kenny or Byakuya. Doubt he's stronger than Soi Fon, or Gin. He MAY be stronger than Tousen, Kommamura or Mayuri. So being better than the 4th weakest captain makes you low level. Dont let fan love blind you.

But ZhakoT did make a good point, if Wonderweiss didnt break Hitsugaya's ice funeral thing, Harribel most likely would have died. Its understandable that Hitsugaya isn't one of the strongest, he's still young. Even Kyoraku mentioned that he will surpass him in 100 years.
why do you think she couldnt have escaped on her own? its not the first time in anime world a villain seems to be defeated and then takes an unreasonable about of time to break free again and then be unscratched
@tical2399 I dont really believe the numbers really deal with th level of strength. Kyouraku is exceptionally stronger than byakuya (including hes older) and his number is 8 while his is 6... Each has their own specialization. Sure ranks/no.'s are seen within the ranking of officers but not really true with the division numbers.. just had to sort that out. Don't have to be so serious. To be honest... you acting worse than any fangirl or w/e...

Nobody who has watched bleach for any reasonable amount of time thinks that the squads are ordered based on power. I wonder why they sent only two vice-captains and noob Shinigami's to deal with a captain. Personally, I would've liked to see someone like Byakuya or Zaraki to go head to head with Toushiro.
they did not want to kill him at the moment, u know Zaraki and Byakuya would just kick Thoushiros butt in few seconds, and they needed him alive, but I agree they should've sended some captain with them, but some "nicer" captain xD
lol hisagi acted cool when he just pulled out his sword a little bit to block hitsugaya and when he said that he is arresting him...but his face after toushiro said"you're a dead man" was priceless:)) i think he shit his pants:)) and all that fear of battle stuff only made it worse but still hisagi is one of my favorite characters:P
idc who you are dont try to arrest toshiro hitsugaya unless youve mastered bonkai.....otherwise youll never be able to arrest him...not even if hes' like he is in this movie, half dead ^_^....they tried...yeah it was an epic fail :P

true but the head captain takes precautions against every possibility and yamamoto definitely wouldve taken serious precautions in response to hitsugya, i would...i mean if i was head captain i wouldve sent like byuakuya to fetch hitsugya...hes one who wouldnt hesitate to deliver deadly force in response to tourshiru's attack...oh well ^_^
lol no Aizen already destroyed Hitsugaya in one hit if you saw the anime/manga. Same with Renji. He stopped his zan with his bare hands. I can't see Hisagi doing much better. Shinji might be able to avoid a few blows but the moment he looks at his blade will be the end for him
idk shinji wouldve been smart enough not to look at aizens sword...i mean he knows aizen better than anyone.....in a certain way of views.....plus shinji mastered the hollow transformation and has developed attacks with the hollow transformation for the past 100 years....and he can use cero...i think that shinki could last more than a couple of blows honestly
Problem is, Shinji's seen Kyouka Suigetsu. Aizen once said that once you've seen Kyouka Suigetsu, there's no escaping its hypnosis. You'd think that 100 years in a separate world would have elimintated Aizen's resonant energy, but that might not be the case.
well didnt shinji once see through aizens sword?...i mean remember when shinji visited uhahara when kiske first became captain, when shinji was leaving he said "how long are you going to watch him aizen?" then he casually just sweeps his hand through the air and reveals aizen hiding behind his sword's shikia......i think that shinji would be able to see through aizen to be honest ^_^
@NightmareOO9 actually aizen explains his swords power to shinji when shinji is in the process of hollowfication and he also showed all the lieutenants and captains his zanpakto as a demonstration i believe when he first joined the 13 court guard squads....so yeah....i think he did anyway
@jacsawkjalac ya i'll admit i forgot about him telling Shiniji but the rest still stands that no one eles knew about the perfect hypnosis power of his zanpakto he would have shown his shikia to them thats how they become under his power but he never has to release his zanpakto to use its power and if you keep up with the manga you'll know that shiniji can not see through his power and gets his ass kicked along with every captain, lieutenant, and vazerd but not yamamoto (with) his zanpakto
Aizen stopping Zabimaru with his bare hands was most likely an illusion. The problem isn't Aizen's strength. The problem is that he walks up on you, cool as a fucking cucumber, while you're still paying attention to his illusion, and gets a full force hit while you have no idea what's coming. Even Yamamoto would be seriously hurting if he was caught completely off guard like that.
I don't know. Aizen is very strong to be sure. Maybe stopping Ichigo's sword with a finger was some manner of trick, but I just dont know.. Aizen is incredibly fast. that, mixed in with his illusions make him a seriously tough customer. He's also very good with Kidou [taking out komomura with one hit without even a chant beforehand] His spiritual pressure is 2x that of an average captain... basically god mode... And he's never even had to use his Bankai. When he does, all hell will break loose.
Yamamoto is the most powerful character in bleach, and aizen is a CLOSE second. i mean VERY close. Probably an even match to be honest. But if Aizen caught him off guard it would be over instantly. I can't see Aizen ever getting hit... Whenever something hits him he shatters into pieces then appears somewhere else. very deadly...
thats mostly just because hes always expecting an attack...sadly hes one bad guy who doesnt let his guard down or get surprised by much...bit sad really V_V
true but yamamoto, even if seriously wounded, wouldnt go down till he died on his feet....i mean he created the soul reaper academy....and he was around for more centuries before that...hes extremely powerful and strong, plus milenia of experience....i dont think that aizen could kill yamamoto easily if at all ^_^

Cool, I've been waiting to see HIsagi and Kira fight cuz they don't get much air time unless it's the Shinigami cups. I wish they would though, i can't believe that Hisagi hasn't shown his shikai yet in the anime but, it was pretty cool to see it in the manga. So, I'm pretty excited to see it in the episodes. i saw a glipse of it the Fade To Black trailer. Plus, I hope Kira can really show off his skill soon XD BTW- their faces looked funny when he said ur a DEAD MAN XD

What really galls me is that Kubo went and did an entire chapter (which we waited a week for and delayed the next chapter by another week) ALL ABOUT HITSUGAYA! Come on! I'd prefer to know more about someone interesting like...oh, I don't know. Shunsui? Ukitake? Yamamoto's VICE CAPTAIN?

Everyone gets owned by Ichigo, so that's no real indicator. He must be pretty strong if he's Yama-jii's Vice, ne?
I've loved the last few chapters, though Ulqiorra's getting tiresome now. But the VC's spotlights were brilliant! (Reverse-guillotine Wabisuke? Awesome!)
I don't think they could beat Tousen and Ichimaru now, that'll probably be Komamura or Ichigo or Matsumoto...Or Hitsugaya, given they all have a connection to them. But maybe in time. No-one else seems to be filling the space.
im really tired of ichigo getting buffed through plot holes, but he is a main character, so theres no avoiding i guess. i havent gotten tired of ulquiorra, im awed by how overpowered and the possibility he may be better than number one. ichigo is stuck in hueco mundo, so we can rule him out, hitsugaya will hopefully lose to halibel, and all the vc's, who did get awesome spotlights, are all incapacitated now. remember the vaizard left to join the fight? i wonder which side...
Ah! Now that would be interesting! Shinji vs one of the Traitor-Captains (probably Aizen)... Or Urahara joins the battle and finally shows us Bankai?
Quite predictable, but unless Kubo plans on having Aizen escape again or have someone else turn out to be the big boss, then he's running out of time to develop these characters.
Personally, I want to see more of Neliel. It seems like he just forgot about her in favour of *shudders* Orihime. This makes me sad. That woman kicks ass.

There's no real way to compare Aizen and Yama-jii. Neither have really fought seriously, and Aizen didn't seem particularly bothered by Yamamoto's presence... But an awesome fight.
I didn't expect Nel's voice to be like that, but it's not that bad. It's a refreshing change from all those women who have deep, powerful voices just because they're strong. It kind of forces home the point that you don't have to sound tough to be tough.
(we're really getting into this) Agreed about Vaizard too.
its a pretty well thought out story, theres a lot to speculate about.
i just didnt want nels voice to be so HIGH. not even a deep voice, but if your voice is higher than orihimes.... lame.
and aizen doesnt seem to be worried about much ever. i wonder if he has a mask... but that would frightening because i cant imagine aizen fighting himself at full power, and who would have to contain his hollow. it might not be as strong as ichigos though, since Ichigo was considered to be a threat.

idk about you but i wouldn't have expected an old friend for hundreds of years to turn on me if I was hisagi or kira... If SS had predicted that he would use violent force then yea they would have sent captains.

true but the head captain takes precautions against every possibility and yamamoto definitely wouldve taken serious precautions in response to hitsugya, i would...i mean if i was head captain i wouldve sent like byuakuya to fetch hitsugya...hes one who wouldnt hesitate to deliver deadly force in response to tourshiru's attack...oh well ^_^

lol no Aizen already destroyed Hitsugaya in one hit if you saw the anime/manga. Same with Renji. He stopped his zan with his bare hands. I can't see Hisagi doing much better. Shinji might be able to avoid a few blows but the moment he looks at his blade will be the end for him

idk shinji wouldve been smart enough not to look at aizens sword...i mean he knows aizen better than anyone.....in a certain way of views.....plus shinji mastered the hollow transformation and has developed attacks with the hollow transformation for the past 100 years....and he can use cero...i think that shinki could last more than a couple of blows honestly

Problem is, Shinji's seen Kyouka Suigetsu. Aizen once said that once you've seen Kyouka Suigetsu, there's no escaping its hypnosis. You'd think that 100 years in a separate world would have elimintated Aizen's resonant energy, but that might not be the case.

well didnt shinji once see through aizens sword?...i mean remember when shinji visited uhahara when kiske first became captain, when shinji was leaving he said "how long are you going to watch him aizen?" then he casually just sweeps his hand through the air and reveals aizen hiding behind his sword's shikia......i think that shinji would be able to see through aizen to be honest ^_^

@NightmareOO9 actually aizen explains his swords power to shinji when shinji is in the process of hollowfication and he also showed all the lieutenants and captains his zanpakto as a demonstration i believe when he first joined the 13 court guard squads....so yeah....i think he did anyway

@jacsawkjalac ya i'll admit i forgot about him telling Shiniji but the rest still stands that no one eles knew about the perfect hypnosis power of his zanpakto he would have shown his shikia to them thats how they become under his power but he never has to release his zanpakto to use its power and if you keep up with the manga you'll know that shiniji can not see through his power and gets his ass kicked along with every captain, lieutenant, and vazerd but not yamamoto (with) his zanpakto

Aizen stopping Zabimaru with his bare hands was most likely an illusion. The problem isn't Aizen's strength. The problem is that he walks up on you, cool as a fucking cucumber, while you're still paying attention to his illusion, and gets a full force hit while you have no idea what's coming. Even Yamamoto would be seriously hurting if he was caught completely off guard like that.

I don't know. Aizen is very strong to be sure. Maybe stopping Ichigo's sword with a finger was some manner of trick, but I just dont know.. Aizen is incredibly fast. that, mixed in with his illusions make him a seriously tough customer. He's also very good with Kidou [taking out komomura with one hit without even a chant beforehand] His spiritual pressure is 2x that of an average captain... basically god mode... And he's never even had to use his Bankai. When he does, all hell will break loose.

Yamamoto is the most powerful character in bleach, and aizen is a CLOSE second. i mean VERY close. Probably an even match to be honest. But if Aizen caught him off guard it would be over instantly. I can't see Aizen ever getting hit... Whenever something hits him he shatters into pieces then appears somewhere else. very deadly...

true but yamamoto, even if seriously wounded, wouldnt go down till he died on his feet....i mean he created the soul reaper academy....and he was around for more centuries before that...hes extremely powerful and strong, plus milenia of experience....i dont think that aizen could kill yamamoto easily if at all ^_^

Cool, I've been waiting to see HIsagi and Kira fight cuz they don't get much air time unless it's the Shinigami cups. I wish they would though, i can't believe that Hisagi hasn't shown his shikai yet in the anime but, it was pretty cool to see it in the manga. So, I'm pretty excited to see it in the episodes. i saw a glipse of it the Fade To Black trailer. Plus, I hope Kira can really show off his skill soon XD BTW- their faces looked funny when he said ur a DEAD MAN XD

True. At least we got some Vice-Captain action. (I'm one of the people who want Hisagi and Kira to become captains and then wipe the floor with Ichimaru and Tousen)
What really galls me is that Kubo went and did an entire chapter (which we waited a week for and delayed the next chapter by another week) ALL ABOUT HITSUGAYA! Come on! I'd prefer to know more about someone interesting like...oh, I don't know. Shunsui? Ukitake? Yamamoto's VICE CAPTAIN?
Seriously, do we know anything about him?

i dont think kira and hisagi could take on their captains, but i do want to see them fight more. but yeah, theres a lot more i want to know about, but i wont lie, the last couple of chapters have been AMAZING.

Everyone gets owned by Ichigo, so that's no real indicator. He must be pretty strong if he's Yama-jii's Vice, ne?
I've loved the last few chapters, though Ulqiorra's getting tiresome now. But the VC's spotlights were brilliant! (Reverse-guillotine Wabisuke? Awesome!)
I don't think they could beat Tousen and Ichimaru now, that'll probably be Komamura or Ichigo or Matsumoto...Or Hitsugaya, given they all have a connection to them. But maybe in time. No-one else seems to be filling the space.

im really tired of ichigo getting buffed through plot holes, but he is a main character, so theres no avoiding i guess. i havent gotten tired of ulquiorra, im awed by how overpowered and the possibility he may be better than number one. ichigo is stuck in hueco mundo, so we can rule him out, hitsugaya will hopefully lose to halibel, and all the vc's, who did get awesome spotlights, are all incapacitated now. remember the vaizard left to join the fight? i wonder which side...

Ah! Now that would be interesting! Shinji vs one of the Traitor-Captains (probably Aizen)... Or Urahara joins the battle and finally shows us Bankai?
Quite predictable, but unless Kubo plans on having Aizen escape again or have someone else turn out to be the big boss, then he's running out of time to develop these characters.
Personally, I want to see more of Neliel. It seems like he just forgot about her in favour of *shudders* Orihime. This makes me sad. That woman kicks ass.

im annoyed she disappeared too. shes obviously better than nnoitra, which makes pretty good, and shes probably close to halibel level (i dont want to say ulquiorra, i dont know how good resurrecion segunda is, haha). im super annoyed by nels voice though, its not what i expected at all.
i was kind of hoping yamamoto would fight aizen, but i feel like aizen would put up a fight, but not really stand a chance.
cant wait to see all the vaizard masks and releases!

There's no real way to compare Aizen and Yama-jii. Neither have really fought seriously, and Aizen didn't seem particularly bothered by Yamamoto's presence... But an awesome fight.
I didn't expect Nel's voice to be like that, but it's not that bad. It's a refreshing change from all those women who have deep, powerful voices just because they're strong. It kind of forces home the point that you don't have to sound tough to be tough.
(we're really getting into this) Agreed about Vaizard too.

its a pretty well thought out story, theres a lot to speculate about.
i just didnt want nels voice to be so HIGH. not even a deep voice, but if your voice is higher than orihimes.... lame.
and aizen doesnt seem to be worried about much ever. i wonder if he has a mask... but that would frightening because i cant imagine aizen fighting himself at full power, and who would have to contain his hollow. it might not be as strong as ichigos though, since Ichigo was considered to be a threat.
