the best was the conspiracy theory rock skit that robert smigel did in protest, that they pulled from all reruns ,at the end they say why he was fired ,its in my channel favorites
now i know why he was fired....michaels a homosexual pedofile, o.j's guilty, and an f-bomb on live t.v when u wernt even aloud to say bitch LOL norms hilarious
no he wasn't fired for this supposed f-bomb it was just an excuse since that bald headed fat fuck was oj simpsons homeboy and norm couldn't let a double homicide slide like ito and the blacks could so he attacked the best way he could with murder jokes and disrespect. besides in the end that cunt simpson showed the world just what kind of ruthless thug he really is.. fucken black cunt
@pagan667 snl is and always has been live. The f bomb has been said on snl like two or three times since this, along with things like the ashly Simpson insident. So yea, it is stil live.
only some sketches are funny in snl. wasnt as good as it was a long time ago. just like 'in living color'. i think the best season is season 2. then when it comes to season 5, new actors came n it was disappointing
@ivorybanger88 SNL Weekend Update. I watched that show live and I remeber thinking. "Did he just say fuck?" But then thought nothing of it. This sort of thing happens from time to time, right? It's funny that I can remeber him saying "My farewell performance." And thinking thats funny. But Larne Michaels thought otherwise. He must have told Norm and every other cast memeber. "If you ever say fuck while we are live, you're out of here." Norm and Lorne knew he was fired before anyone else did.
He got fired for this?!?! I always new he'd been fired for dropping a fat f-bomb on tv but Wow! I wouldn't doubt that if that happened now, he'd be just fined, not fired, I mean Jenny Slate says it SO much louder than that, and from what I've heard is still good.
Hell yeah he was. Though I'd like to say Tina and Amy were good too, not as good as MacDonald. The worst two that I've seen were Colin Quinn & Seth Myers. I haven't seen any of those short lived ones from the 80s.
He tells the same joke in his White House Correspondents' Dinner, with Matt Lauer as the "pretend news anchor." I'm not sure which was first though, but it's a good joke.
The late Charles Rocket, according to some, was fired over the f-bomb in a sketch, and I'm sure MacDonald received a harsh word or two, especially since the audience took clear notice of him saying it. I'd love to see the video, although it's not really necessary.
I don't think broadcast delays existed much before 2004.
Rocket didnt say it in a sketch - he said it at the end when everyone was on stage saying goodbye and all of the cast that season(except murphy, piscapo and maybe another) were fired at the end of the season.
He wasn't fired just for this but it was one of the reasons

@Mundane05 Jenny Slate? They just didn't renew her contract (which I guess is really a nice way of saying fired...)

He actually was fired because of this, and after this SNL was no longer aired live. Such a shame...
