I wonder, is FF 12 being similar to Star Wars a bad thing? cuz I look at like star wars done better.

Even the music is similar !! Hitoshi Sakimoto music and John Williams music in Star Wars are both epic and bright ! The music is full of light.... damn my english... I don't really know how to explain that.
Anyway, FF12 is the closest FF to Star Wars.
I agree about the characters, and there is Basch who seems to be like Obi-wan Kenobi... the master/captain who disappeared and comes back. And there are the sand men too... you see them during the sea sand part.

I wonder if the writers for the game realized how close some of the game's themes and characters are to Star Wars. I mean, even the Bahamut is similar to the Death Star.

lol, my friend joked about this once. like on how during the opening FMV sequence..."the FF guys added in the knights-mounted-on-chocobos-and-using-swords so that they wouldn't be sued by George Lucas for being too similar!" lol

The assault on the giant ship towards the end of the game reminds me of the assault on the Star Forge on KOTOR.

I've played final fantasy. Your opening paragraph was from final fantasy tactics. You got several scenes from final fantasy 12, and music from star wars, duh. The game's much better if you actually play it, this kind of makes it look bad.

If you did pay some attention, the game is already out for weeks in Japan (and I had the import, if you're wondering). Just because it ain't out in the US doesn't mean it's not out in other parts of the world.
