just a piece of interesting information even tough keichi tsuchiya is known as drift king he's not the very first person to use drift its Takahashi he use drift to preserve high exit speed that leads him to many racing victories keichi become a fan of those technique thats why he practice drift and he introduce drift to the public and rather than a racing technique to exit corner fast. keichi create more angle in his drift spectator finds it pretty and thats how drift became a spectator game

13b rew (rx8)should never have had a car made for it!why?the 13b rew was always match made in heaven for the miata and later the mx-5.the only thing missing with this combo is some sort of smart management so the driver dont lose control aside from that?best combo on the planet,just lighten the mx-5 to 2000 lbs flat with sticky tire (not bigger tire stickier gees ,15 inch is enough gees we need stickier!

@drbaltazar the 13b REW was used in 3rd gen RX-7s, the RX8 runs a Renesis 13b rotary and the MX-5s never had rotary engines, they used BP - MZ 4 Cyl. Unless your suggesting that the MX5 should have a rotary inside them, in which case i fully agree :)

@RotarFlow ya the the 1.3 liter renesis (rx 8 engine)would have been perfect for the miata.light weight car ,lightweight engine,not too much frame twisting torque(a very good thing) and insane rpm capability!

like i wrote match made in heaven for the miata!putting this in the rx8?making the rx8?why bother?they have a great chasis just put the rx8 engine in the mx-5 and be done with!

@drbaltazar there is or was, a company in Australia that used to put 13B turbos into MX-5's(miata) I've seen a few around.

This isn't a Skyline, its a Nissan R35GT-R, I think the last of the Skylines' were made in 2002.

@Apidium They still make Skylines, but they are rebadged as Infiniti G37s in mainly america. In Japan they are known as Skyline V36

@mickeymang6 That's irrelevant. The platform does not dictate what the car is called, the manufacturer does. They can make any frame or platform they want, saying they aren't skylines is like saying the new chevy camaro isn't a camaro because it's different from the older models.

personaly I think the sudden death match was unfair due to the fect that the rx 7 was allowed to go infront first meaning obviously it would just as if the gtr was to go first in would have one so i think these car are evenly matched

@ijhgbuih i think the rx7 has slight advantage. the gtr is really good car for lil to non sport car. normally like other video, rx7 against another awd like evo and sti they get raped badly.

nope, the rx-7s still able beat the evos and stis in this track. indeed, awd doesn't have much advantage up against rwd on dried tarmac roads as they do over places with bad traction.

I am glad companies like HKS, Jun, Mines, MCR, etc comes out with parts to further improve the OVERALL performance of the GTR, unlike many of those US based companies that makes parts just for high power and mere straightline speeds!

@skratchkamot yeah i agree after all GTR is made by japan for touge purposes its japan national treasure its been created to run fast in mountain passes but all cars has its weaknes GTR has a heavy engine while rx7 is a cornering machine it runs really fast on corners these cars are both good but when racing you should really consider where to race

The gtr reminds me alot of the Mitsubishi GTO For The new breed of cars coming out. (obviously ten million times more advanced) But its a heavy car with alot of gadgets that handles so good.
