  • You wouldn't know entertainment if it kicked you in the shins!

  • it sure didn't take much to entertain people back in the dark ages, did it?

  • So smooth

  • Just great !

  • What a great voice Thank You for posting

  • Who couldn't love listening to a fantastic singer like Frankie. I watched the Gleason Show and as a young child, The Honeymooners. I always looked forward to Frankie's song at the end of each Show. He was a great comedian and worked great with Jackie's skits. Thank you for posting.

  • Atlas I mean Frank has a great voice.

  • This man tried taking down Rapture. How dare you clap for him.

  • @lukeisntgay LMAO!!!!!!!!!

  • huh?

  • Frank's bit as Crazy Guggenheim was always near the end of the Jackie Gleason show ... and as wild as it was it always ended with Frank singing a beautiful balad ... as jackie - I think - played Joe the Bartender ... and the song softened the hard nose Joe ... almost to tears ... So to Frank and Jackie ... Good nite Joe ... good nite Craze!

  • They don't make them like Frankie Fontaine anymore, or Jackie Gleason for that matter. Thanks for uploading.

  • Grew up as neighbor to Frank in the 70s. What a sweet man.

  • Thank you for sharing this very rare video. They were great times from a great time.

  • Thank you for sharing this very rare video.

  • He was so good as Crazy, But what a voice

  • Would you kindly...

  • great stuff, Crazy could sing to.

  • ..and I was looking down at his fly..I thought that is what the headline meant! ooops!

  • Heavens to Murgatroid! This cool clip brings a lot of happy memories of watching "The Jackie Gleason" show with my family as a kid back in the 60's. We all got such a huge kick of how silly Frank Fontaine was as Crazy Guggenheim but yet was a wonderful serious singer! THANKS for sharing this delightful "blast from the past" with us! You've MADE my day & week! :-)

  • I think the fly was an angel--Super Great as my 6 yr old grandson says

  • Even the Simpsons do this by having Barney doing Frank..

  • Great classical Christmas songs, wonderful innocence

  • @fencersdelight I totally agree.....Definitely brings back memories for me as a small child.....Too bad we cannot have shows today with the innocence that these old shows had.

  • Frank Fontaine had a wonderful voice and could act too. I put him in a special category along with Ken Curtis of gunsmoke & Jim Nabors of gomer pyle. These three would keep you in stitchs laugh'in all the time with their character humor. But on the flip side, BOY could these 3 sing or what.

  • I'd forgotten he sang! And I used to watch this show every week in the '60's!

  • Thanks for posting these grand memories.

  • parents on the couch... us kids on the floor... every Saturday night ...

    take me back ...

  • This fly is killing me......LOL...great post, great voice....

  • I remember watching The Jackie Gleason Show as a young child, and my parents always really loved it when Frank Fontaine sang -- thanks for the blast from the past.....

  • inb4 bioshock quotes

  • Great seeing this! Crazy

  • Frank had a very Mel Torme-like style. Whadda ya think pal?

  • @NYVoice yes,much so

  • Was Frank the inspiration for Jim Nabors' Gomer Pyle character? BTW - ya gotta love the scene-stealing persistence of that fly!

  • geesh i had no idea he could sing?

    pretty good to!

  • thank you Frank!!

  • An amazing talent for sure! The world is a much duller place today without entertainers like these men.

  • Thank you for posting.
