  • Spectacular Version of it!

  • Thank you, Jack, and Happy New Year!

  • You're welcome! May the Lord grant you a blessed year in 2009 as well!

  • @guitmartiman Hi Jack. Good to hear from you and know your still doing the Lord's good work singing the praises of God. I don't have internet in my home and am using my daughter's and her boyfriends Hi-speed right now; it's really nice. Hopefully my husband and I will be able to get the Internet in the future. Thank you for keeping in touch after all this time. Stay Faithful as He is Faithful. Luv U, Liane and Ken Crawford

  • Well done.

    Good song.

  • Thanks for sending this. (Sorry, i'm a little late.)

This is great! I absolutely love it. You have such a nice voice ^^

    Thanks again ^^

I hope you had a very merry Christmas.

  • Hi Lizzy! No need to worry about being late. I know how it is around Christmas time. We had a nice quiet Christmas with our son and his girlfriend. Glad you liked the song! I'm flattered that you like my voice!

    Happy new year!

  • Hi Jack,

    Awesome as always

    God bless

wish you had a merry Christmas

  • I had to work yesterday, but we spent a pleasant evening with my son and his girlfriend, both Christmas Eve and last night. I've had 52 Christmases now, so they're maybe not quite as awe inspiring as they used to be, but it's still a very pleasant time to spend with family and friends. I trust yours was everything you hoped it would be.

Thanks for the great music this past year, and wishing you a blessed new your!

    Your friend,

    Jack

  • Hi Jack,

  • MERRY CHRISTMAS, Jack. You sure spiced that one up! Great job. Mary

  • Merry Christmas to you too, Mary! I hope it's not too spicy for you! It just seemed appropriate for such exciting good news!

  • No, not too spicy for me at all. My feeling re Christian music is that they should be sung with power, joy & ecstasy, not like a dirge.

  • My sentiment exactly!

  • Thanks for everything Jack! Thanks for the music, songs, friendship, etc. May our Lord grant you and your family a truly Blessed Christmas, and New Year, and keep the music coming! Take care and God Bless!

  • You're very welcome! Thanks for all the positive feedback and friendship! MC & HNY!

  • Merry Christmas. (**********)

  • Thank you, and the same to you likewise!

  • That was really nice Jack. 5*****s all the way. What I am really impressed with is all the other verses you sang that I am not familiar with. Thanks and Merry Christmas. God Bless. Ray

  • Yeah, it took me over a month to memorize all seven verses well enough that I could sing it without pausing to recollect the words!

  • Bravo my friend!!

  • Thank you, and merry Christmas to you, Andy!

  • Thanks 4 sharing..luv it! 5/5

    Merry Christmas!

  • Great job bro Jack. Thanks for sharing.

    Merry Christmas !

  • Have just acquired a 314 ce and I love it. Always had an eye on the T-5. Maybe some day. Very nice job on this. Have a Merry Christmas Jack.

  • Merry Christmas Jack!

Thank you for all the videos.

    Love your scripture songs too.

  • You're welcome! Scripture songs are really where it's at! I love putting those together! Merry Christmas to you!

  • Standing Ovation Here Jack! Excellent job all the way around. Always loved this song, and what a great job on the vocal, and the guitar work was equally a good. You must have quite a collection of Taylor's. Doyle Dykes, a promotor of Taylor, is a friend of mine. I have recorded with Doyle in years past. Thanks for another Great Video Jack, and MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS, C.W.

  • Wow, a standing O! I don't know if I've ever had one of those before! To God be the glory!

I have exactly four Taylors at the moment, though I have owned at least seven others since 1996 when I bought my first 410. I wouldn't be such an addict, but they have this publication called Wood & Steel, and well, you know...

I saw Doyle perform live at a local church in 2006. I have a few videos of that concert posted here on YT. He's a phenomenal player! One of my favorites!

    Feliz Navidad,

    Jack

  • Merry christmas, Brother Jack :-)

  • Same to you and more also, Sister VK!

  • Fantastic guitar playing and singing for a wonderful song. Merry Christmas!

  • Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too!

  • Beautiful! (*^^*)

  • Thank you! :o)

  • This is great! Better than the discordant horns that normally litter this song anyday. Actually the first time I ever heard the song was the bit that's tagged onto the end of PP&M's A'Soalin' which I guess leads me to think it's a song for guitar and medium tempo. Thanks for this Jack and Happy Christmas to you and yours.

  • Not sure about that major chord on the end though...

  • Sorry about that. It's sort of become one of my trademarks whenever I play a song in a minor key that's supposed to be good news, I almost always end it with a Picardi third!

Picardi third - A practice from the 16th century and the Baroque era of ending a composition with a major chord, when the rest of the composition is in a minor key, thus giving the composition a sense of finality, or in my case a sense of joyful resolution.

  • Thanks for reminding me of A'Soalin'! I just favorited it!

  • It's been a while since you've played the T5 for us :)

  • Hey, where've you been? I play it at CCC at least once a month!

  • This is my absolute favorite Christmas carol and your version is excellent.

  • I'm so glad you approve! I'd hate to have ruined your absolute favorite Christmas carol! Blessings on you!
