When I was little I was obsessed with trying to watch every single one of his movies. I was convinced I was going to marry him. When I found out about his death I seriously cried myself to sleep and couldn't stop thinking about it for months. It's crazy how an actor from you childhood can impact you so much. I still get all emotional and it just makes me so sad whenever I watch one of his movies. But it makes me even sadder to think about how the people who loved him really felt and still feel

It is sad when a child actor dies from suicide. We will never really know why, but I do wonder if it was because he got older and could not find actoing jobs as he had when he was a kid/ teen.

I never cried for a celeb the way I did when I found out Jon died. I even called LA County to confirm the death, because I didn't believe it. The pain lasted for months. He will be missed.

Jonathan Brandis

He was a child actor that became an adult actor he was also one of my bestfriends that died and yes he hung himself in his apartment , he was really depressed and lonely

He died Nov.12th, 2003. Suicide. He uh, hung himself, was brought to the hospital, died later from his injuries. And damn it! Now I'm crying again.

he died nov 12th 2003 at 12:00 noon in the hospital after friends took him down from where he hung himself in his apartment the night before

On November 11, 2003, at about 11:40 p.m., a friend of Jonathan Brandis called police to report that the actor had attempted suicide at his apartment, located in the 600 block of Detroit Avenue. Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire department responded and transported Brandis to Cedars Sinai Medical Center where he eventually died from his injuries. Brandis' death was announced by hospital staff on November 12, 2003, at about 2:45 p.m
