Then Turkey invaded them and nearly wiped out their whole population while taking away most of their land including important parts. In addition to that after WWII the U.S.A protected Turkey when the Union was going to invade them to take back the land they stole from the Armenians. So now tell me that what the Bolsheviks did here was wrong.

So the Soviets basically forced them into it, no matter how benign they try to make it sound. The Turks were certainly bastards but I'm not going to defend the Soviets here either.

In 1978 the Armenian Nagorno Karabakh Oblast erected a memorial dedicated to the 150 years of Armenian settlement in Karabagh. However the memorial only remained in this shape for only 10 years. By 1988 the inscription of the memorial was removed, this was done to manufacture a new history. Seach for "History of Karabakh"

I've unfortunatelly never been to Armenia but it seems to me that life at the time of Soviet Armenia was better than nowadays in many fields. For instance, people were much more "mardaser" than now. There weren't so many differences between people as today. There were great ballet ensembles which disappeared. And I personally like this Soviet Armenian Anthem much more than "Mer Hayrenik". It can't be the best place to live in but at least it's our Homeland, and we've got one. Loves to ARMENIA!
