Whited00r is fake and doesn't work. Whenever I try installing it iTunes gives me errors.

@PaRoDiEr1993 use iREB to put your device into DFU mode, then restore your iPhone using Whited00r firmware. That should avoid the errors.

@Appletechelping well i don't quite know what happened. I backed up my settings.plist files before I changed stuff. I then put the file into the plist file and this caused my settings app to now crash. I restored the plist file to the original one i backed up. still it crashed so i rebooted. none of this is working. have any ideas?

This tutorial deceives you into thinking you can access your iCloud account from iOS3 and iOS4 when in reality it's a customized ftp backup (nothing to do with the real iCloud. I spent 2 days figuring out all the setup process, which is not clear, to only find out I wasted my time.  Don't waste yours unless you know your are not really setting up your iCloud account.

On 2g iPods on 4.2.1 the file will be called settings.plist. Put the data in there and reboot. It will look exactly like in the video.

I suggest you use ifile for this because it will not have the random data you cannot read. And it's easy to use. Hope you guys have luck on this.

If your device settings look like mine I guarentee this will work for you
