When I was a child in the late 50's and 60's the Holocaust was still fresh in everybody's mind. The many survivors were young and vibrant, as were the MANY witnesses of all nationalities. Nobody would have dreamed there would be "deniers" back then. The Holocaust DID happen, PERIOD.

Up until 1945, the British were known as the masters of propaganda. Both Goebbels and Hitler based their own propaganda techniques on British propaganda. The mere fact that the British produced phoney evidence shows how perfidious they were.
Every war has different attrocity propaganda. WW1 had Belgian babies on bayonets, WW2 has Jews being gassed and Desert Storm had dead incubator babies. None of them are factual, but all of them were used by the media to manipulate the masses.
Diary evidence is only relevant when it has been proven to be real. A British WW1 report is highly unlikely to be objective on such matters.
During both wars, the German soldiers have been among the most civil ones. I still recollect my grandmother's story about how nice the Germans were that her family was forced to provide shelter for during WW2 (even though my grandmother was definitely not Germanophile). I heard a similar story from a man I met in Poland.
The Luxembourg Treaty was collective...meaning the signatories had to act in unison...a veto by any signatory could block taking action.
Belgium's Treaty was "joint and Several"...meaning that they did not have to be in unison to act...
Also Luxembourg was not "required" to resist(although they did protest in writing) because Luxembourg prohibited from having an army or any fortresses.

Some time ago, I met a guy who has a vast collection of orriginal WW1 literature from all sides and who's quite an expert on WW1 history. He told me that of all publications he'd read he found the German ones most reliable, then followed by the French (whoes patriotism sometimes lead to minor distortions). British publications, he said, were completely unreliable as they lied and distorted on a continuous basis. Things are little different for WW2.

As I said before, the Swastika was used by Hindus, Jains, Buddhists, Hebrews, Vikings and other cultures. Like several Runic symbols (eg. Sig rune or Odal rune) Hitler adopted the Swastika from the Vikings and used it to represent Nazi prosperity and harmony.
Don't believe everything you read in history books (whether popular or academic). If you do have a PhD in history, you should read some orriginal Nazi sources and you'll find out that I'm right.

Actually, Hitler borrowed the Swastika from the Germanic tribes (eg. the Vikings). The Swastika is one of the most ancient Eurasian holy symbols and has been used by numerous cultures all over Eurasia (Jainism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Vikings, Hebrews, ...)
The Swastika never was a symbol of hate. It was a symbol for balance and prosperity and HItler used it for that reason.

Up until 1945, the British were known as the masters of propaganda. Both Goebbels and Hitler based their own propaganda techniques on British propaganda. The mere fact that the British produced phoney evidence shows how perfidious they were.
Every war has different attrocity propaganda. WW1 had Belgian babies on bayonets, WW2 has Jews being gassed and Desert Storm had dead incubator babies. None of them are factual, but all of them were used by the media to manipulate the masses.

Diary evidence is only relevant when it has been proven to be real. A British WW1 report is highly unlikely to be objective on such matters.
During both wars, the German soldiers have been among the most civil ones. I still recollect my grandmother's story about how nice the Germans were that her family was forced to provide shelter for during WW2 (even though my grandmother was definitely not Germanophile). I heard a similar story from a man I met in Poland.

The Luxembourg Treaty was collective...meaning the signatories had to act in unison...a veto by any signatory could block taking action.
Belgium's Treaty was "joint and Several"...meaning that they did not have to be in unison to act...
Also Luxembourg was not "required" to resist(although they did protest in writing) because Luxembourg prohibited from having an army or any fortresses.

Some time ago, I met a guy who has a vast collection of orriginal WW1 literature from all sides and who's quite an expert on WW1 history. He told me that of all publications he'd read he found the German ones most reliable, then followed by the French (whoes patriotism sometimes lead to minor distortions). British publications, he said, were completely unreliable as they lied and distorted on a continuous basis. Things are little different for WW2.
