I agree, this is just an acknowledgement of Rush. Sure, Rush has a song called 2112. 2113 doesn't sound like 2112. The only similarities they have would be that their instrumental pieces and vocals are skilled. Are you saying that being skilled and playing progressive metal can only be characteristic to Rush? The riffs and licks they play sound nothing alike. I would stop attempting to argue that CnC rips off of Rush. Through empirical standpoints, that argument doesn't really exist.

I just discovered these guys recently. Can't believe I hadn't checked them out before. They're quickly becoming my favorite band and this song is amazing.

@mauricio1213 Not a problem. They have the stories released for SSTB, Good Apollo 1, and YOTBR. IKSOSE is a work in progress, and we're still (eagerly) awaiting any word about NWFT. It's a great story if you have the time to check it out; it really adds to the music.
@mauricio1213 Rush has an album called 2112, it's obviously an homage to Rush but with their own musical twist hence the different title. Sort of like the Iron Maiden tribute band called the Iron Maidens.

this was the last song they played when i went to see them live in may. it was so epic because before I had only heard this song maybe once or twice. bottom line though, this is the best band ever.

What's with this album. All the tracks from 13 to whichever one this is is blank and lasts only a few seconds. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE the album, It's just the layout that confuses me. Can someone help me out?

once when i was listenign to this track in the car with my mum we drove passed this woman who had like 5 poodles on leashes prancing merrily exactly in time to the music as the song was at about 3:30. i laughed my ass off so hard and my mum found it funny too.

@mauricio1213 Not a problem. They have the stories released for SSTB, Good Apollo 1, and YOTBR. IKSOSE is a work in progress, and we're still (eagerly) awaiting any word about NWFT. It's a great story if you have the time to check it out; it really adds to the music.

@mauricio1213 Rush has an album called 2112, it's obviously an homage to Rush but with their own musical twist hence the different title. Sort of like the Iron Maiden tribute band called the Iron Maidens.

@goheklikaplunco I thought that too... but i remember reading somewhere that no one in the band was a big RUSH fan until after their second album... i may have read this on wiki so it has little credibility. if you are farmiliar with Coheed and Cambria's Comics (the Armory Wars) 21:13 is the time Claudio gets home... i still think it is way too much of a coincidence.

@TheWherd i read that somehwere too but i also read 21:13 is infact a tribute to rush's 21:12 after an interviewer told the band members there was alot of press comparing them to rush. im fairly certain the later is correct.

The happenings in this song is an alternate series of events to show what would've happened had he gone home.

i always wondered if this song had anything to do with the band RUSH and their whole 2112 story, i mean i know Coheeds music is based on Claudios comic books. But coheeds style always reminded me of Rush and i thought this might kinda be a musical tribute to them or something... idk i just thought it was weird how its only one number off from a classic rush album

@TheWherd Actually, they have nothing to do with each other. 2112 is about a book called "the fountainhead" 2113 is the time Claudio comes home from his date with Newo in the story.

@Deano645 yes it is on there. its track 23. the light and the glass ends and its after i belive 12 tracks of silence. i had the CD for 5 months before i knew of it :] hope that helps
