This was the best music of all time. I grew up listening to this stuff, such a shame this old school stuff doesn't get the recognition nowadays that it deserves, because it was by far the best!!!
HEY!!!!! ITS DEE...I USE TO WORK WITH ONE OF THESE RAPPERS WHEN I WAS AT DELOTTIE AND TOUCHE BACK IN THE DAYS IN MANHATTAN !!!!!! FEEEEELLLLLL THE FORCE!!!!! FEEL IT FEEL IT!!!!!!!
This was on the first ever Street Sounds Electro LP which started it all!
See you at the 'STREET SOUNDS UK FRESH REUNION' at Scala, London, 16th July where Electro Legends CAPTAIN ROCK, NEWCLEUS, THE B BOYS & GRANDMIXER DST & more will be performing live! Plus Bboying, Graffiti and DJs spinning all your faves, including this one of course!
The sad part of it all is that this type of music and groups of their era did so much for music and hip hop, but most people do not even know anything about this era. Alteast we have YouTube
@RealFreshBlog Thanks to you and other people who take the time and are aware of this era of music share with us all. Thanks and keep them coming!!!! :0
1983, that's 7 years before I was put here and it still blows my mind. It's powerful on the dancefloor (really, shit's going DOWN when I play this) but also quite good while working office time. excellent track, 5/5. Thanks for uploading!
Growing up in Brooklyn, this was the sound that was booming from every car and boombox everywhere. What a glorious time. My city used to have the coolest soundtrack!
@mindstormsabrewin NY used 2 have the COOLEST soundtrack...w W B b L L Ssss (in stereo)
Agreed!! Then SLOWLY radio started getting all NATIONAL, & NY truly lost its UNIQUE flavor. BRONX BOMBER!! ORIGINAL B.BOYeee
& today there is good music, but too many people just copying, lacks originality. THEN ON THE OTHER SIDE, record companies are NOT so interested in UNIQUE & original. They want something that sounds like last months hit. So MOST producers copy. That CIRCLE must b broke.
Thanks for posting have been searching for this old skool break group and keep coming up with chipmunks crap, and some new band who stole the name!Glad I have found the original group.
PURE INNOVATION!!!! I hear elements of Stakker Humanoid and Eon in this track! The amazing thing though, is that THIS track was produced about FIVE years before those artists began making their stuff! Thanks for sharing this! It's SO ahead of its time. Cheers.
u tube throws light on this shit hot trak.thought i was only one in the world that thought about it .bought it from jumbo records in leeds merrion center 84/85.like all my records its a little crackly ,cos i luvd using vinyl.nice t know am not alone.
WOOHOOO!!! LMAO one of my alltime fav tracks from the breakdance days, man da 80's was da shit... & VoiceEncoder why be so technical? at least we didnt get Rick-Rolled!! hahaha
To all my brothers out here postin, coastin, to you I'm toastin; a retired B-Boy who hopped out when it stopped bein hip; now I miss the good times in NY and all that shi*!
Much love everyone - Jump on a plane and lets all party in my crib out here in Israel!
My word, this trck takes me right back to poppin and locking in the theatre @ my old school during lunch time break...Always rated this track...Its just one of the reasons that after all these years im still into my Techno, Electro, Tech house...
Inovative beats through voice coders, drumulators, emu? brings flashbacks of my club hopping day's. The unos 111, The lime light, The Loft , The Palaidium & The Paridise Garage. All I need is a "Spliff" some, Southen Comfort and a few hot Chicas.. Old School style Baby..!
Why is this called intrumental if there's someone singing and/or speaking on it, plus a vocoder as well. Intrumental means no vocals: human, machine (speak & spell, votrax, etc..), or human into machine (Auto-Tune, Digitech Talker, talk-box, or Vocoder)?? Instrumental means "intruments only" i.e. guitars, basses, drums/machine, keyboards/synths, windwoods, chimes, orchestrals, etc...just no vocals of any kind.
this is an awesome tune...i'd pay a little fortune to buy it on wax! i still wonder, what machine had these awesome crackling handclaps...maybe a drumulator?
Man! I got this one in BATES RECORD STORE on the lower eastside of manhatten blocks away from the Williamsburg bridge wich connects The City(manhatten) with Brooklyn where I am live. ALDO MARIN, who made a name for himself on the n.y.-based CUTTING RECORDS Label, did d.j. sets for The Paco Super Mix on 92 KTU at the time and this is one of the tracks he would play. I used to play FEEL THE FORCE every time I would mix a cassette for fellas.I would record my sets using a SHARP GF-777 !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was 15, and my Philips soundblaster used 9 batteries every hour... I cannot afford..so I make plan: as duo passenger on a motorcycle with a friend with blaster on my lap and a car battery...becaurse the blaster needed exactly 12 volts...Car battery leaking...acid burning a hole in the bag...u can guess the rest:) But it was a fun day, that one day the plan worked!!
i still own a real big phillps blaster...and it's so fucking heavy, i still couldn't carry it around too long...and he chews up 10 batteries of the big ones...this tune is sinonymous for ghettoblaster, i think!
was into ma bmx when electro came out . then cardboard took over . ADIDAS trainers , NIKE tracksuit , BIGGEST stereo you,ve ever seen .................... sorry i,m goin back you all can come too ..... shit man lets go
topps shame not stereo upload sounds compressed.but good mono quality

3000 people under the bidge near Westbourne Park station poppin and lockin - well cool to watch and try n learn some moves lol..
I remember Morgan Khan of streetsounds electro trying to get permission 2 this to put on his well acclaimed streetsounds series!
