leads one to think that all muslims should ride a mule or camel and not a car or bike as it was the mode of transportation during the time of the shaba/tabaeen etc.pls remember with the spread of islam and development in human civillazation many things were adopted . remember the prophets(pbh)said that if u need knowledge go even to china .now were there any sahaba /tabaeen,etcin china?

In this developed world we can use machine to make life easy—even ifs wasnt used during Rasools time.

For example-electricity, cars, flights, mobiles, computers and so on can be used. When things improve, we can use it.

The Rasool has said that, things will develop. And those things can be used, if they are not forbidden in our religion. If it doesnt affect the religion, and its for GOOD purpose, we can use it—as Rasool said.

just a question crossed my mind, if this type of mehfil or usage of musical instruments for spiritual purpose is good, why the sahaba dint performed it

i mean if this is a good thing the first place to have it should be madina munawwara.

is it that the awliya who came after the sahaba , tabieen or tabaytabayeen were much superior in their spirituality and understanding of islam or innauzubillah sahab lacked this understanding or spirituality.

Think about who your questioning. Khawja Ghareeb Nawaz Moin-ud-Deen Chisti (RA) - one of the major DONS of the Ummah. So i don't think that argument has any value.

Sheikh Abdul Qadir is the Greatest Awliya of all time. There was a time when Ghause Azam invited Khawaja Moin Uddin Chishti to Baghdad Shareef. Ghause Azam had arranged a mehfil e sama for them there. Half way through the sama mehfil Khawaja Sahib went into wajd, they say that it was intense that Baghdad Shareef started to tremble and shake, then Ghause Azam hit there staff on the floor to control the tremours.
