  • @acamporota hey great work mate

may i get this model for my showreel?

  • Is there a name or something for the rigging terchnique you used for face animation. I'm talking about the last face. Are there bones? I'm new at this but this technique is better than morphing etc I think.

  • @ShnHonour i used stretchy bones.. i think this kind of rig give you more freedom...but somenitmes is difficult get good deformation... i think the best is have a mix of joint base and morph target

  • I am in love ...

  • Hey man, this is nice!

Do you know of any tutorials or DVDs or books for rigging in 3ds Max? I've looked around and I can only find them for Maya, and I'd imagine that rigging is quiet software specific.

I'd be very grateful if you could advise me.

  • @titlegum look up Cg Academy for their intermediate rigging dvd set. Its all in 3ds Max

  • @BrianKenny99 Thanks dude!

  • well, its a great rig, thats for sure!

    keep doing man

  • its not professional to steal jonas thornqvist work without givin credit

  • @463548 if you are talking about the model i buy from gnomon work shop..so i can regulary use for my demo reel..

also this is a character td demo reel..this is means i did the rig and nothing else

  • @acamporota Nicely done rig to.

  • @acamporota that doesn't add anything to my statement. i'll repeat it has nothing to do with legal rules not to give credits to someone else's work you bought but is highly unprofessional and i'm right.

  • i hope that i one day be as good as you ! :D well done

  • awesome stuff man

  • that's impressive work for character rigging in Max... respect. I couldn't do that in Max. I despised Max after seing Maya's rigging workflow ^^

  • shake that ass haha :p

  • do u use any plugin/script for all these rigging & skinning?

  • @DeeTeeCG

nope....everithing is made from max..whitout plug in or script

  • @acamporota

Thanks for the reply. It looks superb awesome. :)

  • very impressive rigging

  • this is sooooooooooooooooooooo cool Man ;) good work

  • how long to make that character?

    awesum work! :D

  • @muvo123

10 days for rig and skin..im glad yuo like it :)

  • Nice work dude! Can you tell me if this faceial-joint technique is usual for 3dsmax enviroment? Because Im using maya and have plenty of invisible faces in the scene to make my facial-blendshape animations work...

  • @xukca

well if you wanna setu up the face rig..you can use blend shape or joint...is up to you

or if you want you can mix togheter

is the same with maya or 3dsmax....

some people prefer joint based..other balnd shape

as i told you is up to you

  • this mess seem like Maya1 class begining. modeling-rigging-animation

  • Beautiful Work . . .

  • gj man

  • Very good job!!! Congrats dude =)

  • Great job with skinning the shoulder girdles, looks really good. If you were taught by Paul Neale though I would at least expect your IK/FK controllers to scale to 0 and disappear when not in use. Just use Xform modifiers and wire the scale to your IK/FK blend system.

  • yeah i know...but when you do that...the controller becamo smoller and there are still in the scene...

so i prefer have them visible

  • brilliant tutorial plz!

  • if you need a tutorial take a look at paul neale web site ;)

  • Wow awesome work ! I'm currently rigging the Batman I created for a short film, still some problems on the lattisimus and the neck but I'm getting there !

  • awesome work my man!!

what are you planning to do with the character...you ever gonna give it out to the public?

  • eheh i still thinking abou it

the problem is that the orc is not mine..

    i buy it from gnomonworkshop

so i'm not sure if is illigal to release from my web site..i need to ask..

the last 2 character i can't release because i did that work for a company
