Glad to see she's questioning early so she's more sure of her faith in Christ. :) I know people who just follow without any kind of thought, and it's quite heartwarming to see her understand that people have flaws but we're still redeemed by God's love and Jesus' sacrifice.
This is great. Even aside from the fact that this little girl is memorizing great biblical truths, the fact that she is able to read that well and apply her knowledge at 4 years old is terrific. She's even knows how to give an example and apply it to herself. Impressive. Great job raising your daughter so far!
Parents are a child's first teacher. And you are doing it beautifully! You ask open-ended questions that encourage her to think about her answer. You give her time to think about the answer. A lot of people commented on how smart she is. As a teacher I see a lot of kids that could've been that smart, but no one took the time to ask them questions and really listen to their answers, and now they think that they're not worth anyone's time. Keep up the good work.
So cool how God can use even a small child to reach and teach others for His glory. Such a precious child and I would bet a tremendous help to her Sunday School teachers :) !!
@stormscm No doubt children are born with curiosity and inquisitive minds, it is clearly evident when i see your daughter, however a child is not born with the knowledge of their parent's religious affiliations. These are things that are taught, and I'm sure you're promoting good values and beliefs for her, but the fact of the matter is that all children are born atheist and remain so until they can reach an age where they can decide for themselves.
"Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked him. "Yes," replied Jesus, "have you never read, "'From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise'?"
@rpare666 what happened to freedom of religion? what is freedom of religion? a freedom of beliefs? isn't it her freedom to reject it on her own. isnt it her freedom to accept it? you cross so many boundaries with your lame comment. what are your beliefs? to destroy the first amendment? and if you don't have any kids, i pray to whoever your (maybe politicians? lawyers? judges?) are that you don't teach your kids (if you ever have any) to hate against the first amendment. just think about it.
@rpare666 Someone is ranting about amendments and I don't care. I would interject that it is indeed smart to question. But the more you question and actually look for answers the more you will find that the Bible is sound in what it claims. There is so much historical proof. I would like to challenge anyone who has no faith to read a book of apologetics such as "More Than A Carpenter." Of course I'm biased, but try it, and with an open mind. Especially if you truly value intelligent questioning.

Children are natural born skeptics.

@redneckflava I'd say they are natural born believers with inquisitive minds. I've seen few adults who have a faith as strong as my little girl.

Way to go! Lie to an obviously smart and questing child. You will destroy her, you abuser.
