  • Excellent tips!!

  • What moisturiser are you using? Is it a combination of different ones or an actual ready made product?

Many thanks for all your videos.

  • @evealexsis She uses the product made by Dr. Cornwell for Sisterlocks. It is the one in the jar that she mixes with water. She used 2 tblspn of the stuff in the jar put it in the spray bottle with water and shook it up, then sprayed it in her locs, squeezing it in as she went. :o)

  • @hadespusey1973 Thanks for the information! I should have purchased some when I started my Sisterlocks years ago, but never mind.

Her hair is beautiful and healthy looking, she keeps it well!

  • Fantastique!!! Imma start my daughter's locs tonight. Hope they look that great in a couple years.

  • Your locs are beautiful. :) It's obvious you've put a lot of love into them.

  • i can wait to see what i look like with dreads

  • i have never seen locks that small on anyone. YOU LOOK LOVELY

  • There called sister locks-feel free to google it-it's not the traditional dread method.

  • as far as i'm concerned sister-locks are just micro-locs. They matt with time and knot up with time. they are gorgeous dreads that are very versatile. I love them, but i have DREADS. 53 locs and i love them too

  • What do you mean by matt with time and knot up with time? I don't understand the lingo. hehe

  • Uhm, dreadlocks are matted ropes of hair. YOur hair has to form knots to lock up tightly enough to be permanent dreads.

  • oh wow the way she did her locs at the end was sweet

  • Sister locks are a lot healthier for your hair. Either way there is a lot of maintenance, but in the long run sister locks are better for your hair.

  • @SunshineAndCrayons How are sister locs better for your hair then dread locs?

  • u are very cute

  • i wonder how many strands of locks is that?

  • You have stunning dreads, and thanks for the post

  • Fuck gir!!!l your dreads are very pretty =)

  • ur locs are gorgeous, haha, they look like mine! i have had mine for 8 yrs. !!!! i never even thought of putting the moisture trmnt in a spray bottle , i will have to try that, does it really thin out once u mix it like that? hmmmm. i will subscribe to u!

  • wonderful!!!!!!!!! Mi ah love it!!

  • Your locks are beautiful, but can retightening be a nightmare because of how long they are?

  • I have Sisterlocks, so retightening is pretty simple. It takes the same amount of time as it always has, short or long. Pretty quick. Just a couple of hours every 3 months.

  • They're beautiful. Thanks for posting.....

  • can you condition your hair if you have starter locs or do you have to wait until they loc up?

  • You really should wait so that the hair locs fully. The conditioner will act as a de-tangler and unravel your locs before they can settle in. Spritz your hair with water throughout the day if you need more moisture. It will dry, then you spritz it again. Water is the best moisturizer anyway. Believe me, it works.

  • how long have you been growing your sisterlocks?

  • At the time of this video I had them for 5 years. But I cut and trim them all the time. :)

  • That updo at the end was so cute and easy!

  • me would love me a nice dread woman like dis one ;) eat you up in a second baby...mmmm!

  • I agree, woman with locs are gorgeous

  • Would love to see her locs after a fresh re-twist or latch close up. She obviously has a lot of hair/locs which looks heavy on the scalp and a bit like a wig. I am not a big fan of Sisterlocs but they can look nice. I have regular locs.

  • yo your locs are freakin nice! ha.

  • iloveyou can you tell me your name.. hehhhhehehe!!

  • anti-white lol! aaaw! did you get mad at me for asking that question?? what I'm saying iz true and for you to conceive a anti-white assumption is redundant. and your not half black like me your too pale your probably a octoroon let alone a quadroon. going by your accent your raised around white ppl. so that would explain your xenophobicness. go get a dictionary for what I'm saying lmfaoOoO! I'm not anti-white i'm anti-ignorant. what side are you on???

  • r those naturally grown real locks not used by a hook like all other white ppl. please dont lie.

  • your cuite

  • braids?

  • Thank you for your videos. Sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference. I never would have thought to use a spray bottle to distribute the shampoo and conditioner/moisturizer. I tried it and loved it! Thanks again. - ba

  • that... was howt!

  • i just make a tea out of sage, rosemary and chamomile and use a spray bottle once in a while.

  • I wish the lighting was a little better so I could see the hair texture and style of your hair. But anyway, cool vid.

  • naw natty dread naturality reality

  • I hate skinny thin dreads, but they look great on you!

  • jackass, n kevkhalee never use gel for your locks u need something natural, like "lets dread" its 100% bees wax, this is natural, even smells natural, never use gel 4 ur locks not good, sometimes i do it 4 the hold but isnt good, try to stay away from using any type of gel substance.

  • You must be talking about the gel with alcohol in it..Mango and Lime gel is nothing like that...Bees wax is garbage..

  • "TIFFDJONES" is a sorry sight, an embarrasment to all us decent mixed race folk for starters "MULLATTO" = the sterile off spring of a mule and donkey the term was used in slavery days by slave owners to discribe "HIS" children born through the rape of a slave he would then rape the children so his grandchildren were also his daddy she looks and speaks so false there is just somethink about her that is so wrong did you know in USA mixed girls only date 7% mixed race guys they dont accept us.

  • those are one of the best locs i have ever seen

  • yah they dont look like dreads at all

  • and that's a good thing?

  • Those are NOT dreads! They just look like single braids to me.....

  • the style wasnt been popular before because it was so time conuming n bloody expensive thats why you might not know it but they are called sisterlocks lol (really small micolocks ...)..single braids were fashioned to look like these type of locks

  • cooool, thnk uuuu!

  • wowiweeewa you can moisturize my locks any time.

  • anybody knows some natural wai of washin em???

  • Depends what you consider "natural". I use Eufora, Its contains only the highest grade natural ingredients. Certified Organic Pharmaceutical grade Aloe Vera and only natural essential oils for fragrance. You can only buy it in Salons. I've had dreads since '96 and tried a lot of different products. This works best for me good luck.

  • u don't know nothing

  • I love how skinny hers are. You can dress it up or dress it down. Corporate America so wants you to fit the mold of the caucasion persuasion and for me, this style can both let you keep your job, and your identity.

  • WOW those locks are supa skinny, personally i dont like em

  • wow thats alot of work and a lot of hair. how often do u twist the roots?

  • Is it hygienic to do that in your kitchen?!?

  • well, it is HER kitchen...:-/

  • well, it is HER kitchen...:-/

  • one more question, would one need to use wax or can one with course o rtightly curled hair need only to twist the hair??

  • if you don't use wax ur dreads will be dreads but after a long long time... the wax acelerate it...

  • i suggest not using wax as it causes a lot of buildup that is hard to get rid of. if you need somthing to hold your hair use a non-flaking gel or a loc & twist butter.

  • don't use gel!!!! it will destroy your locks!!!

    are you crazy??????lol

i don't know what is loc &twist butter... so hope you like

also i suggest use natural oil (i used one from marroco)

  • gel will not destroy your locs. my locs are over 3 years old and down my back, and i used gel a lot at first. i have very coarse, kinky hair and oils did not work at all for me. use what works for your hair type.

  • jackass waht are you talking about?

I've been using lock&twist gel for 5 years now. Its the best stuff out there.

  • i said that i don't know what is this!!!!!

i just said that you should'nt use wax because it will destroy you dreads (i used that before...)

  • i you dont know what Lock gel is, why would you say "it will destroy your locks!"?

    lol

    shut up already

  • i have a question, btw i love your hair... I am making the journey from relazed hair to natural hair and it is a bit unique in my case because I am a muslims and i wear full hijab. I was told my hair my not lock well or something because I keep it covered until I get home, can you give me any advice on this? I really want to lock my hair...

  • ...oops! I meant "YOUR" locs! LOL!

  • I am SOOOOO loving you locs!

  • anybody who can retwist dreads that live in cail send me a message cause i wanna get it done

  • Mine are about that thin and are not sisterlocks. Not all thin locs are the same. ;)

  • haha fa real, i thought i was the only one who knew they were SLs. but hey, how long have u been SL'ed? they are beautiful! i was considerin them, and i even had a consultation but the price amount was too much for me! so i got traditional locs.

  • If you come to the Caribbean ill do your locks for you Bohemianrapzody :-)

  • Those are sisterlocks folks. It's a black thing, you wouldn't know. HAHAHAHAH! Gorgeous locs girl.

  • im a boy and im going to have dred locks and i want it not as long as hers but somewhere around there

  • i think i'm in love.

  • lmao@ those aint no locks...

  • i would love to wash your hair for you it would be really fun

  • Can u come over and wash my hair?ur cute

  • OMG! Your hair is beautiful! Great tutorial!

  • ok your regimen is PROOF that i am lazy about my locs. man all those steps make me ashamed - ASHAMED - of the neglect i have subjected my babies to. ok, i'm gonna start taking care of my locs better. right now my hair is a mess, but i will be remedying that soon -- maybe with a before/after video.

  • wow you have great locks. they're much thinner than ive ever seen though...so it looks much more like normal hair than most dreads ive seen. but they rock!

  • thanx thanx thanx

  • beautiful hair...

    thx for the videos

  • fantastic job. watched them all, and actually learned stuff. kudos

  • great demonstration from start to finish. i will show my clients your video when giving consultations. actual live footage will be advantageous to the client. i found that using a white tee cut up the middle to dry my locs leaves virtually no lint at all.

  • i love u

  • This series was awesome! You have an excellent teaching technique. Can't wait to put this into use.

  • Thanks so much for these videos! I've been thinking about getting dreads for a long time, and washing has been a worry for me. It's good to see how it's done, and that it's not that difficult or time consuming - just requires good techique.

I love how thin yours are too.... I'm hoping to get mine done like that :-)

  • Carole,

    LOVED the instructional video!!!
