Celente's foresight has generally been on target. However, gold cannot be eaten. If what is to come translates to inflation, he will need to convert his gold to whatever common currency will buy a loaf of bread or whatever. Best to store durable, usable goods to be able to barter with. That will be the common man's gold. The government will more than likely seek to confiscate gold from its citizens like it happened in the depression era anyway.
