  • hah!!! hah!!! hah!!!

  • Really good video I got a question tho how long that those that juice say good for now if u keep it in refrigerator ? Thx I can't wait to taste it

  • @1800hustle Thanks. Wheatgrass must be consumed within 5 minutes of juicing for maximum benefit. It's best not to store it for any length of time. You can store orange juice for several days and just add the wheatgrass in or drink a shot of grass and chase it with orange juice instead. Thanks for watching.

  • @thrivesurvive hey what are your thoughts about that wheatgrass extract they sell at gnc and stuff?

  • @Icedout24xx It seems to me all the good stuff leaves after it is dried. At the very least, it seems it would loose potency. But I don't really know the science. When given a choice, I always prefer to opt for the whole, natural food, with everything in tact. If you have no other options, and supplements seem to have an effect, however, some dry wheatgrass is probably better than no wheatgrass.

  • This is a very entertaining juice video. If it gives you an upset stomach, it's because your drinking that much of it with Orange Juice. Too much orange juice alone upsets my stomach, let alone mixed with Wheatgrass. I have a recipe for it coming out and it taste great. No upset stomach and I make it the same way you guys do. When I release it I would say only use about half the grass your using.

  • @rashb Thank you for your helpful suggestion. I may try it again later. :) Thanks for watching.

  • I'll have to try this orange juice in with the wheatgrass - wheatgrass juice alone may be great from a nutrition point of view but it still tastes like cow shit to me. I tried juicing garlic into it and .... well, forget that one. .. yek!

  • @Blackgeoff1 eeew. Garlic? yipes! hehe

  • Great vid...loved the music....What is that? or should I say who is that?

  • @tesla4all Thanks. I think it's the Blackards or something like that. Credits should be at the end of the video. Thanks for watching. :)

  • thanks for sharing. love the video 2 :) was fun to watch

  • @toprooms1 Thanks for watching! :)

  • lame

  • Im sooooooo thirsty now...

  • Thank you. I will see what i will do. :( I hope i get along with it. Wheatgrass seems so fabulous. And im also getting attatched to those green trays all over my kitchen. I hope they are usefull after all. Again i thank you for your kindness in sharing your knowledge in an frank way. Cheers.

  • @paquitomoralles Thanks so much for watching. :)

  • Oh. OK thanks for the info. I read about wheatgrass and some people have complained about feeling sick after drinking it. Not sure what to do. Maybe i will start with small doses .

  • @paquitomoralles Some books I have read say that people feel sick because there is mild. I sometimes feel sick even when there is no mold. If I don't feel sick right away, I usually feel sick shortly after, even when I grow my own and it has no mold. I think what it comes down to is we did not evolve to eat grass.

  • @paquitomoralles Small doses is the best plan.

  • @thrivesurvive yup an ounce or two is all you need per day. Better yet is not blend them, instead use a wheat grass juicer. Probable reason u get tummy aches from drinking wheat grass juice is that it gets assimilated into you blood stream much faster as their molecular structure is very similar (hemaglobin and wheat grass juice). you should be fine tho. those aches shouldn't take long. Also use less acidic fruits like oranges as your chaser, use apple juice or coconut water.

  • @mantis777A Thanks so much :)

  • hello!!!

which software did u used to do these animations?

  • @paquitomoralles I think it's a template in iMovie

  • @thrivesurvive hello pretty face. Thank you. Im growing my wheat grass fr the first time. im a bit reluctant about the flavour issue but i guess the orange juice will help. Mind you..would the acidity from the orange be damaging to the benefits of the grass?

  • @paquitomoralles Happy you are growing your own wheatgrass. I don't know about the acidity question. I can't imagine it would be harmful at all. critic acid is technically acidic, but as far as I know, it is alkaline in the body. Plus you are drinking it right away, so I doubt it has time to do anything negative. I'm not an expert though. In fact, I don't drink grass anymore. It no longer agrees with me. Happy juicing!

  • @thrivesurvive Thank you for answering my question. Yet... i do have another one since u left me curious..

what do you mean with "I don't drink grass anymore. It no longer agrees with me" ?

  • @paquitomoralles I prefer greens and sprouts to wheatgrass. Wheatgrass is hard for me to digest and gives me a tummy ache.

  • @paquitomoralles Instead of orange juice you can use Apple juice as your chaser. It tends to be much easier for the stomach. Since you're growing wheatgrass already, I'd recommend buying a wheatgrass juicer and NOT blend the wheatgrass. When blended, the juice from the wheatgrass not only oxidize fast enough but also the vitamins and enzymes are less concentrated from the added water.

  • @mantis777A Thank you you are most kind but mind you: im in Europe , We dont have that wheatgrass juice tradition so its quite hard to find a wheatgrass juicer around here.

  • Looks Very Good!

  • @GigisButler Thanks for watching!

  • well it makes you feel fantastic and it helps troublsome skin conditions like mine psoriasis oddly enough but it doesnt taste pleasant

  • @thomas242007 Glad it helps you! Yea, it doesn't taste so great. I don't drink grass anymore, but I started juicing more greens with my new (used) norwalk juicer.

  • I am loving this wheatgrass juicing video, I learn something today, Thanks! I have never seen wheatgrass juiced this way before I am going to give this a shot. You are so right about drinking your juice first thing in the morning, Thanks for sharing.

  • @fitnesstipsthatwork Thanks for watching and commenting :)

  • WHAT SHOULD WE DO WITH A DRUNKEN SAILOR

  • @mddarch Hey there. I no longer juice wheatgrass. Many people think it's really super healthy. I am not sure where I stand on it. It does upset my tummy though, so I have decided to stick with greens that are more suited to humans. I grew my own wheatgrass in organic soil and compost that I made myself, so that's how I knew it was clean. Most wheatgrass you buy in stores is grown without chemicals, but lots of it is also grown without soil, which means it lacks nutrients. :) Thanks 4 watching.

  • I bought a wheatgrass juicer and after going through about 30 trays I gave up on it . I had to pretend it tasted ok just to encourage my wife to drink it , but the smell turned my stomach just juicing it . if I get sick I may use it again , otherwise , screw it .

Now I'm into espresso making :)

  • that's so darn cute! How did I miss this one? ;)

  • thanks so much :)

  • Juice your citrus in the Blendtec the same way you do your wheatgrass. The pith and membranes give it body and contain an abundance of vitality.

  • Thanks for the tip! :)

  • The difficulty in breaking down wheatgrass should not be seen as evidence against using it.... it is actually an evolutionary path. When grass takes time for cows to chew and break down, they hang around chewing, while at the same time fertilizing the grass so that it continues to grow and spread. If it were easy to break down, cows would eat it all quickly and move on, the grass not be fertilized, and it would die out. It's part of an evolutionary intelligence towards self-preservation.

  • I agree.

  • Yum - I used to drink wheat grass straight. You videos has motivated me again. Thanks guys. The song is a real classic.

  • you drink grass? thats weird men.

  • I actually no longer recommend consuming wheat grass juice, but when I grew it, I just bought the seeds from the health food store in the bulk bins. Wheatgrass is already a particular type of grass that is good for growing indoors. You can juice most grasses, but wheatgrass is easiest to grow yourself. If you have a choice, however, I would suggest sprouting alfalfa or something and eating the sprouts instead of wheatgrass. Thanks for watching!

  • Hi!

Thanks for this video : I was sure there was a way of making wheatgrass juice with a blender.

Just curious : why did you give up on wheatgrass juice?

  • It gave me a tummy ache and I don't think it's logical to drink the juice of a plant that I would never consider eating in nature. I eat lots of greens though.

  • Why dont you recommend it anymore

  • It gave me a tummy ache and I don't think it makes sense to drink the juice of a plant that I would never eat and cannot digest in nature.

  • thrivesurvive, please tell me why you don't recommend wheat grass, but instead sprouts? I grow sprouts already, but was thinking about wheat grass.. please reply or message me :)

  • I don't recommend wheat grass because it doesn't make sense to drink the juice of a plant that humans cannot digest if eaten whole. Sprouts, on the other hand, are much easier to digest (depending on the variety), and are excellent when consumed whole. I am no longer much of an advocate of juicing either (except for a cleanse), because I think the fiber is very beneficial and I now prefer to consume foods in their whole state. Thanks for watching. :)

  • Thanks for the fast answer :) totally makes sense to me! Gonna keep growing sprouts!

  • Can't go wrong with sprouts. I plan to start doing that again too. I get frustrated with buying greens and trying to keep them fresh. Sprouts are so cheap and they are alive. I think I may try to eat more sprouts than greens from now on. If nothing else, it will save me money and I know for sure they are fresh and organic. My favorite way is with a sprout bag, but I was considering getting an easy sprouter just to be fancy. I wonder if it's worth it though. Any thoughts?

  • Very Nice video! Also how do you like your rebounder?

  • Thanks! The rebounder is ok. I would love a big trampoline or a better rebounder. the one I have is really boring.

  • Love this video! :)

  • Thank you! :)

  • originally we used "Walk Like an Egyptian" by the bangles, but youtube kept muting my video every time I used any copywrited music so we just wen with this cause it was free, fast paced, and fun. I don't really know anything about the band.

  • Thanks! I actually only grew a little and was juicing for a couple weeks, but I ran out of seed and forgot to keep doing it. I guess the quantity really depends on how much you drink and how efficient your juicing/blending method is. I think the blender is highly effective, so you don't need that much grass to get the benefits. It's best to start new trays and stagger the growth so you have grass at different stages and never run out.

  • my pleasure. I hope it works out for you. :)

  • I made mine out of stretchy nylon mesh from the fabric store. You can make them out of nylon fine gauge tulle, or buy a paint strainer at the hardware store. You can also buy one online. Nylon is best because cotton mildews. :)

  • hahaha great vid. But it looks very time consuming! If I only had a maid...

  • It takes less than 5 minutes to make the juice. 10 at the most if you make as much as I did, and cleanup is really fast.

Glad you like the video. :)

  • i'm curious about something, why do you guys drink it fast

as opposed to just sipping it? Is it better to drink it quickly?

  • I don't really drink it that fast. I just make sure I drink it right away because it loses nutrients. You want to drink it within 5 minutes or so. It's best if you swish it in your mouth a bit to mix with your saliva. Just don't take too long to drink it.

  • LOL!

Your video was fun to watch! thank you for posting it. During my last juice feast (Summer 2008) I wasted so much wheatgrass trying to juice with my little hand crank juicer and only got an ounce or 2 and an achy right arm and 30 minutes worth of clean up. Now I can have A LOT of wheatgrass in my system. Thanks again

  • Thanks! I'm so glad you like it and that you are enjoying your grass again! Thanks for watching.

  • I just had Tim watch the video. I thought you were cute! Great video with the music. Rodney does a great job.

  • Thanks! we had to change the music several times due to copy write issues on utube, but we finally found some royalty free stuff that worked ok. glad you both liked it. say howdy to Tim for me!

I have to get back to work. :)

  • Thanks for the tip! I will go to craigs list for sure! Thank you! I miss you.

  • i miss u too mama

  • I want to get one....I heard that kids like my son can learn better when jumping on one. I want a big one too....hee heee.......

  • meee too. Costco online has a great one, but it's like $800 or something..not exactly my first priority at the moment. :) Elisia would love it! Some times you can get used ones through craigs list or the trading post.

  • AWESOME! I drink it each morning too and I get sick taking it straight too. I try mine with apples, ginger and lemon....MMMM. I will try it your way with oranges tomorrow! I want one of those rebounders! Do you like it?

  • I have had green juice with apples, ginger, and lemon, but never wheatgrass. i ran out of grass seeds and keep forgetting to get more. Luckily I have tons of greens, so I'm still covered. I like my rebounder but would rather have a big trampoline. The rebounder is kind of like a treadmill, boring. But it certainly gets the blood flowing, and lifts depression within seconds, so it's totally worth the $40 (I got the cheapest one at sports challet). ((hugs))

  • cool. Sometimes people get sick because their is mold on their wheatgrass. It's important to grow it on soil (most of the grass used in juice bars is grown on paper towels), so you get more nutrients, and to make sure there is no mold on it. Good luck :)

  • Wow that juice made you jump really fast! lol Looks delish. I want a rebounder!

  • I had to slow the video down because I was just a blur before. :) This rebounder was only about $40 from a sports store. It's not fancy, but it makes a great launch pad after wheatgrass juice. Thanks for watching.

  • Love it!! Great big smiles :)))

  • Thanks! Glad you liked it. :)

  • Great recipe, unusual music-choice(really liked it), and humor all paked into a fantastic video.

    Really loved it!

  • Thanks so much. We started out with different music, and had to change it several times before we went to these unlicensed songs. Utube muted my videos when I uploaded licensed music. I'm glad you like the way it turned out. Thanks for watching!

  • Yay! You're a superhero for posting this. It's too good :)

  • Thanks!!

  • Love it!

    Hugs x

  • Thank you!

    ((hugs))

  • *KABOOM* Perfect Health! yeeha

  • hehe! I love your energy!

  • wow that sounds really simple and convenient to make, definitly something i will try,you should make more of these great recipe videos, you're good at showing them off and making it all look so tasty

  • Thanks! I hope you try it and enjoy the results. :)

  • I totally loved the ending this was a fun vid. Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks for watching. glad you enjoyed it. :)

  • i really like all your videos :) i'm 15 years old and u really inspired me! i want to be just like you. but isnt it hard eating just raw all the time?

  • aww. Thank you! Eating raw is super easy at times, but on some days it can be very challenging, especially when you are still transitioning. I still eat a little cooked food from time to time, because I don't want to make it about denial, but usually, once I let myself have the cooked food, i take a bite or two, and decide I don't really want it anymore. You are lucky to learn about raw so early on. I'm 34 and I just found out about it in 2006.

  • how did u start? lol

    wasnt it hard just committing?

  • I started mostly because it just made sense to me. I have always been very interested in nutrition and health, but I went through many years of eating disorders and undiagnosed illness. Instinctively I knew food was a huge factor in my well-being, and I wanted to make my life better. I started pretty much cold turkey, but I had some relapses. Now I eat mostly raw and don't panic when I want something cooked. Eating cooked food just feels wrong to me now. It's easy to commit when u believe in it.

  • I loved it!!!! Definitely some great energy and so creative.

  • Thanks! I hope you like the juice!

  • Best video yet! Love the end! ;-) I'm definitely going to try this with the OJ! Thanks!

  • Thank you! I hope you enjoy the juice as much as I do. :)

  • Thanks! I find I get WAY more juice out of it that way, and it doesn't heat up as it does in my juicer. The water protects it from oxygen and it makes the whole process so much faster and easier.

  • Hi ,I love my Wheatgrass too on an empty stomach 4for1 hour before and after anything....So why do it with O.J.?Love your videos from way back you know. Its me Dianne from Rawfu ~How do you make that booklet effect on this video...?what program is it from? Thanks

  • Thanks! I would have posted this one ages ago but youtube kept muting it because of the music we put on the video. So we had to change the music so many times. The program we use is imovie and the comic book template is one of several free, automatic templates with the new version. Thanks for watching!

  • Oh, and I do it with OJ because I can get a lot more wheatgrass down with OJ. It tastes better, and I think it's easier for our bodies to assimilate it when it's mixed into something our bodies recognize. Sometimes I use grapefruit juice. It's just a personal preference thing. Most people don't like wheatgrass juice but mixing it with oj makes it a lot easier to drink.
