@ruudzwart I forgot to reply a while back: Well they seem to be pretty underrated in America. No one I know has heard of them. Just got Moonmadness in the mail and loving this album too. Glad to hear that they got at least some recognition though.
i live in canada so we dont have camel's (smokes) here ( i never see them) but i looked on the ground a sure enough a camel pack i just smiled and heard this playing in my head
if u really like this track ,u should check out " She Said " by a band called Lone Star e an obscure Beatles song from the white album, but more of a prgresive rock ,slightly metal version, but like l say , if u like this track,You'll love it ....She Said by Lone Star
This sounds like a very compact version of T2's "In Circles." If it were played in a different key, with extreme variations, a lot of more keyboard action, and a band name derived from a pack of cigarettes.
Besides, Marlboro is the best prog band. I remember when they played their 60-minute magnum opus in my basement.
@Romencer17 Because the band royally pissed them off by threatening to name "The Snow Goose" into "A Suite for Cancer Sticks" or something along those lines.
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
I saw Camel Live twice! Once with Wish Bone Ash and Queen the other time with T Rex and Blue Oyster Cult! At the time I was an empty Air Head going to a concert. Looking back I realize how lucky I was to see such an amazing band not once but Twice. I also did a 1200 M drive with Just this cassette! It never stopped playing ONCE! True Story!
@perica91 It's good to see Croatia breeds such mature and up-to-date people for the future generation. I can't wait to see what you contribute when you grow up: the next big disco album, perhaps?
Ok,I assume you're a metalhead. You have only voiced your opinion, but I would like to know the thinking behind it.Would you be so kind to tell us what the heck is superior in any form of metal when compared to other kinds or rock music?.I guess it is not the musicians' skill, sensitivity, and vast imagination. What is left ? Obvously the trousers that need patching, hair that needs cutting and finally, too tight chain around neck supporting an ugly face with loads of make up...
@MusicFreakPL If metal is just that then prog is just a horde of geeks wearing square glasses making weird noises with keyboards. Don´t kid yourself, no genre of music is simple enough to be classified by one sentence, especially a sentence that is as much correct as "George Bush is the ultimate human being".
@Benteiron Man don't get me wrong. I love metal, and Pantera is one of my favourite bands. I simply despise all kinds of black metal where some hairy animals try to convince people they have talent, or a message to convey. The most stupid view is some metalheads doing mosh dance to that cacofony. One has to be musically limited to enjoy that pseudo art.
@MusicFreakPL Listen to Ihsahn´s solo project and be positively surprised, its some amazing shit never liked any other BM band though. I also used to dislike death metal (and i still dislike the straightforward shit like Cannibal Corpse who write lyrics about mutilation, zombies etc... Its simply retarded) but then got to understand the growling vocal style, then eventually started liking it and now i play guitar and growl in a band of my own :P
@MusicFreakPL Don't forget that most prog rockers in 70s had long hair (Rick Wakeman! And some others). Some of them dressed weird too (Gentle Giant comes to my mind first). Make ups belong to Kiss-esque bands mostly (and they're not really metal). Look doesn't define music, though. Most people think I'm a die-hard metal fan, while being in reality hammond organist. :o)

It's so great teenagers like us listening to this kind of music... "old People" think it's weird, because we don't like (c)rap or hip hop or these shitty music we get on radio stations.

plenty of guitar on here. I"m 47, I listened to camel in the 70s. wore my albums out. When I think of Camel I think keyboards and sax. Not that the guitarist isn't wonderful.
Well I started listening to them when I was 15..now i'm 16, so no youre not the only one:P And I know what you mean hardly anyone our age knows about them
This is my favorite tune off this LP. Saw them do it live in San Diego at Golden Hall in 1975 - they opened for Wishbone Ash (Kiss was the middle group) Also, RIP today 1-22-09 - 7 yrs ago Peter Bardens Died. So play all your Camel LP's and/or CD's!
