She was in love with Bianca but afraid to let the world know she is gay like Bianca. Sarah's parents, who found out about the girls' relationship and disapproved, are what contributed to Sarah marrying a man.
I hope they bring Sarah back someday after McTrash gets fired. I think what they shared was real and there's no way Sarah will be staying with that guy! Once Sarah grows a backbone, she better get her Binks!
