How to use "Sony Vegas" Pro 8.0 pt.2

@TinaSoup Yeah I quit using Sony Vegas a while ago, for the video's I make camera work and the quality of it is more important than a fancy editing program. All of my most recent video's have all been edited with Windows Movie Maker Live.

Hi chvasmex.Your vid has to be "rendered" PROJECT>RENDER AS or MAKE MOVIE.Video makes enormous files which need to be "compressed" using Codecs. which give file extensions such as avi,flv. wmv.They mean different degrees of compression. Hi Twisehardyzfans ! If you haven't yet figured out how to split a clip put the Time Line Indicator (I call it the scrubber) where you want to split and press S on your keyboard. Easy!

You are in control of the program, you can set how long an effect lasts or whatever you want. Just play with Vegas, you'll figure it out, i can say do this or that all day but you won't understand it unless you do it urself. It's really not that hard, just takes a lil bit of time and willingness to understand

render means you choose a format for the video, mpeg, mp4, avi, whatever you want from the list. Then vegas will make your edited stuff into a legit video file. Render as is under file

You should just press S on your keyboard and it will split the video where ever you are clicked on the timeline, so much easier and quicker.

You can get Sony Vegas (not pro) for $40 from buy (dot) com. its a lot easier and will do everything you need. It just lacks the professional stuff.

I just started using SVP8.0 and it did that for me to... then i rendered it and it went smooth... but then 1 time i think i didnt render it and i let it like load up in the time line and it worked..

There's an easier way to do the thing you're showing at 0:48 - 0:49. Just use the "Slice" tool by pressing "S" on your keyboard.

Should be very useful and time saving.

I figured out that if you want to throw in a video FX in you can just split the video up and have the segment of the clip ... it's a lot easier than what you are doing, I will prolly do a video on it and video response it to this video. (it'll take a few days :P)
