Nice demo there. I have the same guitar but I'm a Paul Gilbert fan so I went with the Tone Zone/Air Norton combo. I think I'm gonna put one of these in my S series for a different flavour. Would you say it gives good cleans and somewhat of a vintage distortion?
How the PAF's work together with the FM212r, without the effects ? I have the exact amp, ibanez guitar, and i want to play sounds like KoRn with drop A tuning... can you help me? at least a little... do the PAF's have enough power to communicate with this amp without loosing gain ? thanks !
Well, to start with, I'm not a Korn fan hence I'm not too sure how to get tones similar to them. PAFs are low/med output pickups and the PAF Pro in my neck is warm and sweet. I guess you will need high output pickups for Korn stuffs like the X2N, Super Distortion, Tone Zone or similar. I might be wrong but hope this helps a bit. :)
thanks :-) because my choice is too hard, and I have to search for the facts about those pickups.. how do they work with solid states like Fender Frontman... Korn use the PAF's on their 7strings, but they play through Mesa Triple Rectifiers... and there's no problem with loosing gain etc. for them... but I have solid state Fender... well, I'll have to take a look for another pickup which is not too much low output to play heavy sounds :-)
Amps have much more effect on sound then pickups but I'd get a high output pickup like ToneZone (very popular) for the bridge so it's not too powerful and noisy , then maybe a Paf Pro in neck since it is what Korn uses and It is lower output than ToneZone so it should go in a higher output slot, hope this helps, peace. !
Your playing sounds good to me. You got some really nice tone going on here. You also got a sweet ensemble of equipment too. Wish I could see you playing and check out your guitar.

Hey there, I use the preout and power in as an effects loop. I put the Boss DD-20 in it.
