John Steane criticizes Kurz' too-romantic, cozy style in this aria (yet does admire her singing of the aria from Il Re Pastore). But I agree with you on this one: lovely, heartfelt singing regardless of its lack of conformity to purist Mozartian conventions of today.

A bit slow, and the orchestra did not have it's top day, but Selma has such a distinct voice and peronality, she always wins me over...
