  • my mother brought home the CD from the play years ago, when me and my sibling/cousin were young children. We had never seen the play but we literally played this CD nonstop everyday for years. I would love to see this play. The music is amazing.

  • I HAVE WATCHED MOST INDIAN MOVIES AND THE SONGS ARE RAHMAN´S SONGS XD

  • i've seen them in london LIVE they are FANTASTIC

  • We heard this in dance class cause we are doing bollywood dancing, and now I can't get it out of my head!

  • AR Rahman is a genius. The rhythm in this song is depicting the rhythm of the train - the roof of which they are riding upon.

  • asha's got a :o typa body. really thick and curvy, lol, very voluptuous...but the first outfit she was wearing, the red one... oO; they shoulda fit the top better.. I was afraid her boobs were about to pop out.

  • It's Amira from Eastenders!

  • the dance was aite..but the pink things the boys were wearing is seriously twisted

  • @nafiztm2 it was upsetting..LOL!

  • @nafiztm2 I agree, the dance was good but the guys pink creations was a serious "WTF" moment...

  • @nafiztm2 you don't understand the culture behind it then. They are eunichs

  • @UnzipHerHeart Nope they're not eunuchs..... its supposed to be red, probably the stage lights.... u might want to chk out the original chaiyya chaiyya

  • Sorry guys, i have answered my own question. her name was Sophiya Haque, wow!!

  • I wonder if someone can help me, I saw Bombay dreams in London about 2004/2005. The woman playing Rani was the most stunning woman i have ever seen. But was not Ayesha Dharker as shown in this video. She was 10x more stunning to the point were me and the wife at the time mentioned that we couldn't see how Akaash would choose Priya over Rani! I have a feeling it was sophie choudry that we saw, can anyone shed any light?

  • I must have been Sophia Haque.

  • I never get tired of watching this :)

  • @ThatChickwithSigns lol same!!! :D

  • It's cool to see a theatrical interpretation of one of AR Rahman's most famous songs. My only beef is that the male dancers are wearing some ridiculous pink costumes (and cropped shirts) around 4:15! What's up with that??

  • Agreed. It looks fine on the women but not on the guys (but then again, it's hard for anyone of either gender to pull off pink shiny material)

  • That main girl has an amazing figure! wow I love the performance so kool

  • one question, what exactly does it mean? lol

  • Something like "Walk in the Shadow (of love)"

  • awesome!!!

  • i love dis song and dis video,i even took most of da steps from da dance and choreographed it my own way

  • Tight song man.

  • Chaiyya!!

  • was the girl there in corrination street ?

  • I love it, such an addictive and uplifting song. Can anyone tell me what it means??

  • It's basically saying "whoever walks under the shade of love will have heaven at their feet."

chal chaiyya chaiyya means "walk in the shade"

So in all, it's a song telling the listener to let themselves fall in love. It's a bollywood classic :)

  • Ohh thats really cool. I like that. :D

  • really cool stuff!!!

  • Magnifico

  • Raza <3

  • i kwn i im so in love with him

he tall dark hair n handsome

can dis guy get any hotter
