There is a difference between freedom of speech and freedom of religion. If religion basically is the whole reason for getting in the way of freedom of speech, then this is the true paradox, not vice versa. Banning religion entirely is not a bad idea. In numerous interviews with Geert Wilders, which can be found on youtube, he clearly states his call for the banning the Qur'an was to expose the inconsistency of "the left." In other words, Mein Kampf has become a banned book, so he proposed that the Qur'an be banned for the same reasons, i.e. the incitement for violence.

There is an important exception to free speech: incitement to violence. Speech that puts people at immediate danger. Example: yelling "fire" in a crowded theater. That's not protected speech. Geert Wilders was saying that the Koran should be banned as hate speech. And he is 100% right. He does not incite anyone to violence, but instead exposes hatred & violence. That's why it's ok to ban the Koran but not his film. The Koran is hate speech which incites to violence and should be banned.

1) I dont fear islam, I pity it (and those unwillingly bound in it's chains).
2) a phobia is an irrational fear. fear of islam is perfectly legitimate, especially if you are a woman, a jew, a homosexual or an atheist.

Look out around the world into each Islamic country in turn and you will see in every case some form of sh'aria law, and more or less of these beliefs are actually laws of the land. There is no negotiating with sh'aria. It is INTEGRAL to Islamic thought.
When muslims move country, they can suspend sh'aria, but must work to introduce it in the long run, as a duty.

you are such a stupid man whoever is speaking....the only reason there is a mayor of Roterdam is because the muslims have taken over the city and voted for him....if there were more Dutch people living there a muslim would not be mayor......this is precisely why they don't want any more muslims in Holland
