You selfish, lazy, stupid, violent, UNION THUGS should be in prison! Now, go clock in, hide in the broom closet for 3 hours, take your 90 minute lunch, put in 10 minutes of work, then go hide in the toilet until 5pm. Such is the average "work" day of the typical union member.
Union thugs spend more time hiding in the toilet stalls avoiding work than actually performing work. What do you guys do in there all day?
@whbon73 You can't put forth or defend a coherent idea or belief system. So you resort to ridicule and vilification. This shows you are a proponent of a failed ideology (which you can't or won't articulate).
@whiggy1980 You're able to summarize your beliefs and articulate an ideology in a single YT comment? Well, aren't you thoughtful. I'm sure you're the type of person who sticks to his/her "belief system" no matter what facts disprove it. This ideology to which you cling is also flawless, right? Please, grace me with your wit, insight and knowledge in 500 characters or less.
@whbon73 OK. If the private sector shrinks then gov't revenue decreases. Running deficits to make up the difference, (and expensive benefit packages) add a burden to future generations while those who approve of them are gone and can't be held accountable. So there's no motivation to be efficient. Therefore I support a balanced budget. Public employees aren't entitled to be exempt from the recession. They must make the case that their compensation benefits the public, not just themselves.
@whiggy1980 "If the private sector shrinks then gov't revenue decreases." So, taxes are good? Then why do CEOs whine about them? And when did public workers claim to be "exempt from the recession"? They agreed to pay cuts and lesser benefits, only wanting to keep their collective bargaining rights. "They must make the case that their compensation benefits the public, not just themselves." Really, you don't recognize how sufficiently compensated firefighters and teachers benefit the public?
It's funny, all the little creatures that come out of the woodwork when they find their gravy train is about to come to a halt. Who would have ever thought financial reform would be such a devastating, horrendous word.
All you against Scott Walker keep posting your spin and lies....your helping us help him get you out of the way.
@yakyakyak69 I agree....as an Independent I always feel welcomed joining some of the conservative debates in stark contrast to a video protesting walker in which there is no shortage of vile disgusting rhetoric and offensive posts. They'll even call you a racist for suggesting such financial responsibility a true display of "bottom of the barrel" citizens.
I had my reservations until I read the previous comment by "TheKatz1313". When the worst your opposition can do is insult your looks, it's a good sign your doing something right!
I really respect Governor Walker for understanding the need for fiscal responsibility. The US can't just keep printing money, and it is not the government's job to keep me financially secure. It's not about "understanding economics", it's about common sense. Pay your bills before you buy something new, or you'll find yourself in Califor--I mean debt.
Call Walker my hero! Much better to have a governor that takes a stand to makes things better for us. In fact we used to be called 'wuss-consin' cause of the complete liberal control. Glad that's changing. Walker, I hope to see you to presidency.
We will see you out of work at the end of this year and hopefully out of the state as well. You don't have a clue about economics nor a feel for the real majority in this state .Not everyone agrees with you or your henchmen and we all will be better off without you and them.
The increase in the budget is 1.8% over the biennium. This is just under a 0.9% increase per year in the total number of dollars that the WI government is spending. The average inflation rate is about 3% per year. Thus, the actual cost of government is decreasing by over 2% per year on average if inflation is accounted for.
NO MORE TAX BREAKS TO corporations that send jobs overseas in fact they should face stiff tarrifs as though they were based in unfavorable territory I don't want to purposely grow uneducated minimum wage workers so we can aquire minimum wage jobs from these slavetraders (making it appear we are lowering unemployment but not)Wisconsin kids deserve a chance at competing for more. EDUCATION is the answer to the global market I dont want to compete as cheap labor.
@steelinfrino Please do some research before posting. Walker's budget is actually increasing spending overall. Because of Doyle's tax hikes we are now getting a "balanced" budget. Unions are no more greedy than politicians. Senator R-Johnson of WI has proven this with his wonderful paycheck from his company for winning a seat in the Senate.
@steelinfrino Sadly some teachers did walk out. My wife did not. She worked both days her school was "closed" and did not participate in the protests during school hours. She and I did partake in the protesting outside of school hours.
As far as public employees being replaceable, I agree. I think tenure should go the way of the dinosaur. The budget raised the amount we're spending on roads and other areas. I think if he were to cut the budget, he should have. Not reallocate it to other areas.
Hey Walker, you know what you're standing in front of? They're called Press Brakes, you know where people go to get training for these? Tech Colleges, like Fox Valley Technical College. WHICH YOU CUT FUNDING TO BY 30%!
You don't create jobs by making job training more expensive to area businesses & students you ass hat. But just throw another tax break to the corporations. That'll plug the deficit and help with the increased cost of training. NOT!
Thank you Gov. Walker for being willing to make the tough decisions for our state! You are a true leader and our state is better for your leadership. Thank you!
Thank you Governor. You balanced the budget without raising my taxes or cutting services. You also did it with out laying off state employees or teachers. In many other states, they are laying off thousands of government employees.
I am honestly surprised by the hate spewed at you by government employees.
Seriously? Here we have finally truly balanced our state's budget without raiding other funds, borrowing, or raising taxes and you want to recall this HERO? What is wrong with your head?
He forgot to mention that this biennium budget spends over $1 billion more than Doyle's last budget that ends June 30th. Amazing how after slashing funding for education, earned income tax credits, and other programs for the low income families, children and elderly Walker still managed to outspend his predecessor. How exactly is that fiscally conservative? I guess the top 2% and large corporations that benefited from this budget are happy.
Cool, glad you won't be around to fuck up that surplus and give it to the Kochs too, scooter. I hope you fucking get hit by a forklift. Your incomprehension of actual finances, and ability to creatively craft fake numbers is most impressive...but unwanted and unneeded.
This budget does not make sense to me. Cutting nearly 1 billion from education was unwise and we will see our schools suffer. I do not think this budget is preparing us for the future. Will it pay the bills? Most likely. Will it do harm to some of Wisconsin tax payers? Yes. Has it cost my family 4,000 dollars a year because my wife decided to teach children as a career? Yes.
Fantastic job, Gov. Walker! So glad the budget FINALLY passed and that you're signing it today. It's a great day for Wisconsin, and I'm proud to have you as governor.
Wisconsin is very fortunate to have Walker for Governor. So many states have maxed out credit and will probably never recover.
