In Pain 3 I noticed that is sounded alot like the Poison Headcrabs pain noise but just lower.

In case no-one noticed, you can hear slight chuckling in the zombie voice during the pain cries and the death noise. As in, it's enjoying being killed because the host is still aware, but powerless, and wants it to end.

If anyone out there is an Ed Edd and Eddy fan, this sound is totally used on an episode. In the Episode "X marks the Ed" (When eddy gets a giant zit on his head) - 8 minutes and 53 seconds in, when Edd claps at Rolf's cooking show with a blank look on his face, it makes the Poison Headcrab Zombie Pain 1 sound lol.

Guys, the host (human) never dies when the headcrabs latch, they keep suffering (as the "OH GOD HELP ME" sound in the zombie")

thats why if you shoot at the body, the headcrab doesnt dies

The reason why headcrabs don't latch onto Gordon, it because in HL1, you see helmet HEV suits, so why can't it be assumed that Gordon has one. Also, the headcrabs use their claws to latch onto the shoulders. It's kind of hard to dig your claws into a suit of powered armor, so they'd fall right off.

Headcrabs work by latching onto the head, cracking the skull with a tooth, called a beak. Then they attach to the brain, and assume direct control (hurr, harbinger) of the host.

laugh of an old man who have been "posessed" by a poison crab. It seems that he was semi-conscious for all that time. When master crab is neutralized he can make more-like-human-sounds for a lil second.. which is a short laugh because he's happy of being killed (end of pain) or simply he has lost his mind while being under crab influence. I resized this info with my own assumptions.

What happens in the process of a PZ:

A Poison Headcrab finds a victim to chew on,while hugging his face,the headcrab injects his poison into his body,swelling up his stomach,intesines,and other organs. Thus making him grow. The swelling helps prevent damage so the Poison headcrab is safe untill the victim's body has given away. After the body has given away,the headcrab will try to attempt to zomify the killer of his victim,Hazard Suits help prevent that from happining.
