@amoktooc I've never used that system or any in ear system for this mixer for that matter but I would imagine that if you plugged the transmitter into the "phones" or "monitor" then you could receive the signal. Wish I could help more but I don't use this mixer for that. Thanks for watching.
Has anyone been able to post the quality of the effects, this would be important to me,i am not interested in the USB problems that seems to be accociated with the profx8. Reading all the comments about the USB is putting me off purchasing until i can hear the effects.
@thepodcastersstudio i really appreciate your reply, but one more question please, can i plug 4 speakers and 2 subs on these mixer?! I also got numark mixtrack PRO, i hope i can plug this too on mackie mixer. again, thank you.
@MrKorean30 I think you're using the mixer for a much different purpose than I am. It sounds like you are using it for music. I only use this mixer for voice (podcasting). So I don't use all it's capabilities. Therefore I don't know if it will do all these extra things you're asking about. Sorry. It's sounds like you might want to do a little more than it offers though. You can always contact Mackie. Thanks.
@RequMULTI Hmm, I don't quite understand the question. Sorry. "Can I flip the desk?" Please clarify. You're not recording into the mixer so the playback wouldn't come from the mixer if that's what you mean. Thanks
hey is there any mixers for a similar price that has 2.0 AND is compatible with pro tools? and 6 or more imputs? i really dont know much about this kind of stuff
@RequMULTI I doubt it. If so, it will likely be made by Behringer. Take a look at their line-up but when you get into USB 2.0 the price starts to go up.
There is nothing worse on a mixer than those really cheap faders that move the whole length in one push, I like a propper solid fader with real controll!
@lliwehtedud EQ's on each channel control that channel only and work across all outputs. The Stereo Graphic EQ only affects the Main out or the Monitors. This is used more for music/live performances. This EQ will not work when going out via USB, headphones or Tape Out.
@lliwehtedud Unfortunately I haven't used the others so I can't say. And it's likely that I use this mixer for very different reasons than you might use it. I use it solely for voice, for podcasting. I would say that I'd rather have a mixer that is USB 2.0 or better. This is only 1.1 which means you can't bring in more than 2 channels to the computer at once. If that's important to you, it's something you should know.
@lliwehtedud I don't think the audio interface would give you more separate channels if that is what you need. Also you wouldn't really need the audio interface if you had this mixer. Kinda just doing the same thing twice. The Zed fx has inserts on every channel which is one reason is might cost more. You'd have to compare other features to know how much different it is. If you need more than 2 separate channels going into your computer, you'll need a different mixer. USB2.0 or firewire
The first time i am using mixer with inbuilt digital effects...
Could you please post any demo on YOUTUBE with regard to its functioning...
I am struggling to put one channel of microphone with Digital effect and other channel without effect.. at the same time....also i tried the PAN option on channels...but that also not working perfect for me...
The one and only thing i dislike; which however is not really a con: is that it would be nice if the mon and main sliders were red and blue or vise versa. nice vid i plan on getting my own. :D
Kidding of course but only kind of. You could even pop them off and paint them if it was important. Overall a good mixer. It's only USB 1.1 which means you can only bring a stereo mix into your computer and not all the channels separately. Also the USB connection to the computer, at least for me, has an audible hum. So if you are recording into your computer via USB then this is something to think about.
@SomeoneStoleMyPants I don't know anything about recording music but i imagine that u could plug in ur guitar because there is one Hi-z input & the mics for the drums would just go into regular channels unless they need something special. The mixer should send any mics down the USB cable and into your computer or you could use the main outs and go in via mic input. However this mixer is USB1.1 so you can only send a stereo mix not all channels individually like you could with firewire or USB2.0
I'm not familiar with their software but I don't think a regular mixer like this would give you the functions you would want. Check out their website. They have a hardware page full of devices that you can purchase to control the software. I took a look but YouTube won't let me post the link here. Good luck.
@xXFallenKinghtXx which part do you need explained? This is a mixer that I use for podcasting not for music (i.e guitar). It allows you to plug several microphones and or other audio sources (computers, mp3 players, etc) into it and then you can capture all the sound into a computer or a separate recorder. Thanks.
@TheVhroiMusic Yeah it's a great mixer. I don't know if the preamps are as strong as my Alesis firewire 8 mixer but I'm quite satisfied so far. Glad you enjoyed the video.
@TheSchoolsux345 Thanks for the comment. I don't produce music so I'm not sure if this is a good mixer for that. It has everything you need in a mixer including some cool things for live music like an on-board EQ, footswitch, insert plugs etc. I am a podcast producer and that is what I use this for. It's an awesome mixer for that purpose for a steal of a price for a USB connected mixer.
Also I produce everything on Apple products so I am already working with Soundtrack for my DAW. Sorry.
i was wondering if u may no how to connect a shure psm200 in ear monitor .. to dis exact mixer board ..thanks..

can i connect a CD player on these mixer?! reply soon. if yes, where would that be?! thank you
MrKorean30 1 month ago
@MrKorean30 You could bring in a CD player to any of the channels or use the Tape In.

@thepodcastersstudio thank you for quick response. that means, i need to get stereo to 1/4 adapter cord right?! thank you again.
MrKorean30 1 month ago
@MrKorean30 The Tape In is RCA's. So depending on your CD player, you'll need whatever that connection is going to RCA's for the mixers Tape In.

@thepodcastersstudio Great thanks, one last thing, which would you say is best for my home studio, this mixer or Allen and Heath ZED 12fx?

@thepodcastersstudio But I have an audio interface which I plan on running into the mixer so would this solve the problem?
Zed 12fx costs a heck of a lot more and I just wondered whether it was for a particularly good reason?

@SoulThirstJC Sorry, I don't have any experience with MIDI but I don't see a MIDI specific input. Perhaps there are converters?

@SoulThirstJC Hey bro, there is a midi port in the back it's the USB type. So it can be used with your computer pretty awesome.
