Guys don't waste your time on blackra1n. Seriously, I got that asl.dll problem when i updated itunes and i searched everywhere for a solution but it was not blackra1n that saved my ass, it was Spirit. My IPT 3G got stuck in recovery mode since blackra1n is tethered for that version. So i found this program called Spirit, it jailbreaks all ipod touches, iphones and even ipad UNTETHERED!

so it jailbreaks your device untethered! just search for "spirit jailbreak" on youtube!

yea geohot is supossed to come up but if you upgraded your device to 3.1.3 this jailbreak will not work for you... you will have to search for something else if i remember correctly this jailbreak is only for 3.1.2 so if you have 3.1.3 this will not work for you i hope i helped and best of luck to you =]

Hey!

No, If it worked for you with the original release of BlackRa1n then it's fine. RC2 doesn't add anything new, it just fixes bug issues for people who were having trouble before.

Hey!

Yes it should work. No harm in trying anyway. If anything goes wrong just put your device into DFU mode and then it should be recognized by iTunes, from there, restore it.
