  • In the netherlands we speak dutch, and we are dutch, so it's a dutch voice, not a netherlands voice.....

    Nevertheless a nice song :)

  • I want to make an animation out of this song so bad D; It's so nice and beautiful, I believe songs like this deserve animations. I already have the animation for this song planned out in my head though.

  • Is it just me, or does the woman sound like Anette from Nightwish? Just a passing thought. Anyway, freaking love this song.

  • I Have a version without the nederland female voice. Its sounds WAY better!

    PM me.

  • @321John654 No thanks, it's perfect how it is.

  • @Hakkar6993 I find that elements like the Netherlands voice (or the introduction of Globus' previous music like Illumination or Europa) add a sense of surrealism and an exotic style that ensures this music doesn't get old. I've listened to Epicon for... what? Four years now? I expect me doing the same for Break from this World as well :)

(Other examples are Take me Away, the Chorus of One Truth, the introduction of Diem Ex Dei and pretty much all of Prelude)

  • @Hakkar6993 It's still a surprise! When I heard it for the first time (not on YouTube), I tought it was a dream or my imagination. (my earbuds are really good...)

  • @tomtiedom121 It's already in the description. :)

  • @Wizard101Rocks987 haha, its DUTCH indeed, i was listen to this and suddenly heard my own language. haha, too funny. i never thought to hear that from globus.

  • omg is not strong inuf to discribe what im filing...

  • cool! it probably sounds very foreign to all the english people.. but it's nicer if you can actually understand what they say! luckily I can :)

  • Perfect before sleep!!!!

  • Does anyone know what tune of Immediate's this song is based on?

  • @clayman1980 "Atlas", from the brand new "Trailerbeast" album, which pretty much is unable for the general public to find (so far). It was used in a commercial for Glenfiddich Whisky. :)

  • @BoyBlueberry Thanks for the info, I was wondering as well! How did you know that though if it is not available to public?

  • @Hakkar6993 Well, I've heard that from a few Trailer Music-junkies, plus that it's hard to even find any previews of the album (except one). Though, a few tracks (Pandora and Lord of the Realms) have leaked out... ;)

  • @BoyBlueberry Okay, thanks.

  • This song gives me the chills, especially the dutch part, because, well, I'm dutch

  • @megaInRi1 I think it makes a nice proverb. The song in general is very philosophical in a way…or maybe it's just me seeing things that aren't really there. (I do that a lot with symphonic rock.)

  • @Hakkar6993 Holy shit. The first epic song in my language. All hail Belgium and the Netherlands. Sorry, spontaneous joy.

  • So powerful that it brought tears to my eyes...If anything is inspired by God this is it.

  • @shapirotess And I hope that one day we can all enjoy a world where we can see beauty inspired by man.

  • @shapirotess @miestermatt The general theme of this album is not to take Religion for what it is often presented as, but rather the core ethics that they tend to stand for. In a sense, it is inspired by God, but not directly nor even positively. In a way it's atheistic.

I don't believe in a God but I don't think it matters, the emotional immersion from the music Globus has made (including Epicon) is astonishing, and religiously themed doesn't matter to me as the atmosphere from it is brilliant.

  • @Thecrazyhide I would defy you to find evidence of religious themes in the music. If anything their music is inspired by classical humanism.

  • @miestermatt Religious themes? References to Heavens, Gods and the like are all religious. Make no mistake - I'm not trying to draw out religious symbolism in these songs but it can certainly and easily be construed as such, and that flexibility that caters to such a huge amount of people is something that Globus can be respected for.

You do not determine what their music is inspired by, and nor do I - but the possible interpretations is unquestionable.

  • i really like the start of the song from 0-1:50. really amazing album from Globus.

  • I really like the Dutch, I've been learning German and I noticed how many of the words sound similar and mean the same thing. Such as "We lopen" We walk, in German it is "Wir Laufen".

  • @gruntythe1andonly i see / ik zie. i sit / ik zit. i eat / ik eet. i drink / ik drink. dumb / dom. rolling / rollen. running / rennen. pistool / pistool. zword / zwaard. have / heb. bread / brood. steen / stone. water / water. school / school. oke / ok. dead / dood. right / rechts. music / muziek. pussy / poesje. cat / kat. beer / bier. sea / zee. hair / haar. time / tijd. white / wit.
  • To be perfectly honest, I expected more from this song (based on what I heard in the sampler) than what I got. I don't think it's bad. It's just…I think that, had I not set a bar for it, I may have been able to look more favorably on it. The same can be said for A Thousand Deaths.

  • @dddfeardi Same with me. But other songs such as Elegy and Black Parade have gone far beyond my expectations. After lissening to the full album 5 times I find that there are a lot more songs on it that I love then on the original album. But there wasn't a song that compleetly blew me away like Orchard did.

  • @Ronnet Have you been reading my mind as of late? Elegy and Black Parade were also some unexpected favorites of mine. Well, I didn't know what to expect from Elegy, but it really moved me, stirring up memories I've been afraid to uncover. But, that's kinda why I love it. Black Parade, I was looking for something besides what I got, but what I got was fairly good. There would be some things I would change given the chance, but it's fine as-is. This album is actually starting to grow on me.

  • @dddfeardi, Yea it's one of those albums you need to hear again and again before you really start to appreciate it. No catchy pop songs that stick with you from the start on this one. But once you hear them a few time they simply can't leave your mind. I'm already sick of One Truth even though I love the lyrics, I shouldn't have put it on repeat the other day :P

  • I was really surprised that I heard dutch xD That was unexpected. Added a new dimension, i like it ^__^ (well, since Im dutch myself, I understood it)

  • @MelyoraMel ja dat was best vaag in het begin dacht ik dat ik het me verbeelde

  • So fucking epic track... Tears in my eyes after listening to this.
