For the past three years I have rode this amazing road and I have to say that car traffic is getting worse. The cars go so slow and passing is sometimes hard due to oncoming cars and let alone, you now have more police sitting in various spots on the mountain controlling speed. Thanks for taking the fun out of The Dragon!
My only complaint is the music. Adrenaline for days on that road for sure! What's the deal with the sponsorship shout outs in this vid? Is he sponsored to go to the track or just to rep the website on the canyon?

Nice effort. This guy is fractionally better than I am. Which is abut 50% less skilled and capable than a 'D' grade road racer. It's moderately quick but nothing special. The people at the top of the heap, like Lorenzo and Pedrosa, Spies and Stoner, are like a thousand times better than this.

@xmadcrackerx hey, i said i ain't no jarred barnes! also, a lot of those pics were from when i literally just started riding (like maybe a month after i got my bike). my body position is improving, but i'm sure i could still use a little work.. hell i only got a few thousand miles under my belt even to this day. gettin smacked by that mustang set me back a good bit.
I know for some this really dangerous, and to a degree it is but for the driver mainly. If you watch it and pay attention there are no side roads or driveways throughout the entire video. I've been there twice and although I have a cruiser I watched my mirrors for the sport bikes and gave way, hell why not see what you can do? Even on my cruiser I scrapped the hell out of my pegs on that ride.

@adz930 the skyway is national park and DO NOT GET CAUGHT there as its not fun. locals know it and dont ride there much. big fines and jail time. as for the bike, speedo healer on it and its accurate. i know jared and the bike. he is that fast up at 129.
DISARRAY3 i never said he was not that fast and i said most likely his speedo was 10 or less off,but not deffinit,when i went to the skyway in april a few years back i did not see one cop on that road and i went balls to the wall, i did not plan on stopping if i did see a cop the whole trip so the fines and jail time were not even a option, just like jared on the dragon the last thing he is thinking about is a cop catching him on that road or any other for that matter,but thanks for the input

I know for some this really dangerous, and to a degree it is but for the driver mainly. If you watch it and pay attention there are no side roads or driveways throughout the entire video. I've been there twice and although I have a cruiser I watched my mirrors for the sport bikes and gave way, hell why not see what you can do? Even on my cruiser I scrapped the hell out of my pegs on that ride.

@adz930 the skyway is national park and DO NOT GET CAUGHT there as its not fun. locals know it and dont ride there much. big fines and jail time. as for the bike, speedo healer on it and its accurate. i know jared and the bike. he is that fast up at 129.

DISARRAY3 i never said he was not that fast and i said most likely his speedo was 10 or less off,but not deffinit,when i went to the skyway in april a few years back i did not see one cop on that road and i went balls to the wall, i did not plan on stopping if i did see a cop the whole trip so the fines and jail time were not even a option, just like jared on the dragon the last thing he is thinking about is a cop catching him on that road or any other for that matter,but thanks for the input

Jokrmein, you are asking a question we call a oxymoron,what i can tell you is the only way to go straighter is to hit the turn in point,continue the corner and hit the apexes and then on exit hit the turn out point which in your turn will make you go threw the turn faster,the turn is the fun part and to do it at speeds that are above the normal limit in a enviroment is where there are turns at every corner you get a real thrill of excitment,im not trying to go straight just turn faster,try it

I was just making an observation from my rides up there that the sport bikes causing problems are usually liter bike boys who have never ridden anything but a highway. Jared has skills, no denying it, and I'm not being a hypocrite at all, I'm no "angel" at all, but, riding a track bike (yes, its obvious from the lock wired caliper bolts, pinch bolts and race fibreglass) at track speeds on a public road is beyond breaking the law...its irresponsible. I'm not concerned about Jared's riding, but, when there is other traffic coming in the opposite direction... come on man! Keep it on the track, I track ride as well, but, there is a time a place for that stuff.
