The passage from Roger Lewin's book is a complete misquote, its inaccuracy well known in creation-evolution circles. It was actually from Dr. Francisco Ayala, a genetics professor at the U. of California. Hovind twists anything to suit his end. He has no interest in science, whatsoever. He does not have a legitimate PhD (not that that would be necessary if he would just stop lying), and his sole purpose is to convert non-Christians to his demented, fundamentalist flock.

@5tonyvvvv There is so much literature on that, not to mention Dawkin's first two chapters of The Selfish Gene explains beautifully how something like RNA can come about from natural selection. Also, Mill's-Urey Experiment showed it could arise from primordial conditions, Also theres some other guy from the University of Manchester who showed also how DNA can arise from primordial conditions. Begging the question, Creation is peer reviewed, but their is a bias in the peer review processes that denies any thing not agreeing to Evolution, but has an alternative for interpretation of the evidence.

Not only courts are biased in favor of evolution but we also notice this trend in peer review processes.

a. If ID theory is accepted in courts and in peer review as a scientific alternative to evolution, it would imply that an Intelligent Designer was responsible for creating everything that exists.

b. Acceptance of an Intelligent Designer implies the acceptance of a "God" (or "gods") without implying that this "God" is necessarily the God of the Bible YHVH (though I believe he was the one responsible for everything that exists).

How many ID scientists are actually permitted to participate in such reviews? Can we say that at least half of the scientific panel involved are ID theorists in order to eliminate any possible bias? What to expect, that 100% pro-evolution scientists doing peer review somehow read a truly convincing ID scientific research presented to them and suddenly rest their decision in favor of it?

This is the bias against ID theory that will always be present. Science will always be biased in favor of Evolution. This is why society needs people like me to eternally remind other people that there's really a realistic alternative to evolution out there called ID theory.

ID theory isn't trying to simply say "GOD DID IT". It tries to demonstrate the presence of the workings of this Intelligence through natural explanations as shown in the design of living and non-living things.
