Back in 1983 I was lying awake at 3am in a hotel in Prague, where the only thing in my (probably bugged) room was a chair and a radio with a display of a hundred European cities on it… turning the dial, I came upon countless Eastern European DJs, playing obscure-to-western-ears music, and… suddenly - as if made for the occasion - was this track… the lyrics ("across the dials from Moscow to Cologne") fitted eerily with the drab surroundings I was surrounded by… love this song...

took this over to poland around 85 along with a cb radio started to transmit 100 yards from a police station back to uk no one would believe where i was transmitting from so scary i even give my home phone number to prove where i was and sent some dx cards the record is so poignant to my visit there and the memories every time i hear this song...did i use the right word lol...
