@greedyhips22 there is a difference in their names, one is Billy Murray and the other is Bill Murray, but Billy Murray if I remember well his actual name is William
the first record i ever heard as a kid,(thanks mom!)i've never forgotten it and never want to.didn't realise there were so many devoted fans out there.i feel in good company.
Voices hum crooning over moonlight bay. banjos strum tuning while the moon beams play. all alone unknown they find me memories like these remind me of the girl i left behind my down on moonlight bay. we were sailing along on moonlight bay we could here the voices ringing they seemed to say you have stolen my heart now dont go 'way as we sang loves old sweet song on moonlight bay
One of the great classics of yesteryear. It's interesting to note that this a two minute version. I have a version with the same personnel that runs four minutes. The A and B sections are done twice and the vocals purposely fade in and out. Billy Murray is THE voice of this era.
My favorite song I have ever heard by Billy Murray is called "I'll do it all over again" sadly I can't find it on youtube yet, maybe this will be my job...
This song was #1 the day Titanic sank.

We were sailing along on moonlight bay,
We could hear the voices ringing, they seem to say,
"You have stolen my heart, now don't go 'way!"
As we sang love's old sweet song on moonlight bay.

You've never heard this song? This is only a classic. You might want to watch the Doris Day movie with the same name.
